Dalek2003 Posted 6 May, 2017 Posted 6 May, 2017 Sunderland beat Hull ! We are mathematically safe! Well done Saints. Objective achieved and another season in the Premier League. Open the champagne !
Dalek2003 Posted 6 May, 2017 Author Posted 6 May, 2017 Was really sweating on that Sunderland game ! Good days are here !!!
Dalek2003 Posted 6 May, 2017 Author Posted 6 May, 2017 Well, we can sit back and relax. I would rest the senior players and experiment with the fringe players for the last 5 games.
Dalek2003 Posted 6 May, 2017 Author Posted 6 May, 2017 I somehow get the feeling that people are a it underwhelmed. Obviously not experienced the 1990's and the sheer excitement and relief on staying up A bonus of being safe, with 5 games to go, is that we can put a team out for those games minus the players we are selling so that we can prepare for next season !
Miltonaggro Posted 6 May, 2017 Posted 6 May, 2017 Great acheivement when you think where we were a few seasons ago, Puel right up there with Dave Jones for me...
Saint 76er Posted 6 May, 2017 Posted 6 May, 2017 Well, that clears the decks for a takeover to proceed ASAP, now that Kat still has a PL team to sell.
Dalek2003 Posted 6 May, 2017 Author Posted 6 May, 2017 Great acheivement when you think where we were a few seasons ago, Puel right up there with Dave Jones for me... Say what you like. We are safe with 5 games to go! Having said that it would be nice to finish above Bmf, to be champions of the South Coast.
Heisenberg Posted 6 May, 2017 Posted 6 May, 2017 Say what you like. We are safe with 5 games to go! Having said that it would be nice to finish above Bmf, to be champions of the South Coast. We have 3 games in hand and 1 point behind. We will finish ahead of AFCB for the 60th year in a row. #silverlining
Pamplemousse Posted 6 May, 2017 Posted 6 May, 2017 Que será será whatever will be will be we're going to Wembley que será será
hackedoff Posted 6 May, 2017 Posted 6 May, 2017 More than a realistic chance of finishing in 16th place, which is about the correct position considering performances/goals/shots per goal/ transfers etc. merits.
davefoggy Posted 6 May, 2017 Posted 6 May, 2017 I wonder how safe we wil be this time next year......?
Pilchards Posted 6 May, 2017 Posted 6 May, 2017 Sunderland beat Hull ! We are mathematically safe! Well done Saints. Objective achieved and another season in the Premier League. Open the champagne ! I expect you are celebrating it like the way you did when Gabbidini scored his second at Wembley.
Dalek2003 Posted 6 May, 2017 Author Posted 6 May, 2017 I expect you are celebrating it like the way you did when Gabbidini scored his second at Wembley. No, this is much better. The PL is what counts.
Dalek2003 Posted 6 May, 2017 Author Posted 6 May, 2017 I wonder how safe we wil be this time next year......? I don't know. Could be a tricky season. Lets see who we sell and who we buy before making predictions.
Saint Garrett Posted 6 May, 2017 Posted 6 May, 2017 Brilliant performance this season to stay up, congrats to the boys. Not sure how we do it time and time again.

If we won the first 13 games of the season 5 0 leaving us on 39 points with a plus +65 goal difference you would still claim we were in danger of becoming complacent and "sleepwalking to relegation". Then, if we lost game 14, you would claim you were being proven "correct in your assertions". Roll on next season.
OttawaSaint Posted 6 May, 2017 Posted 6 May, 2017 Poor season from Dalek, used to be a top top troll. Big offseason coming up to work on new routines.

eurosaint Posted 7 May, 2017 Posted 7 May, 2017 Not quite. But I would be warning about getting past the 40 point barrier. Don't forget to mention Hoddle on a regular basis either, you've been slipping on that one lately
