Toadhall Saint Posted 7 May, 2017 Share Posted 7 May, 2017 Surprised he's gone with Boufal over Redmond. Boufal needs game time but we need Redmond's work rate and discipline in a match like this. Ditto - redmonds defensive work in the semi at there's was outstanding

Lord Duckhunter Posted 7 May, 2017 Share Posted 7 May, 2017 reckon Puel lacks the balls to drop these players- as if they dictate things. when mane was late i remember koeman dropping him- doubt under Puel that would happen. with regards to forster- id hazard that Hassen is just that bad- and frasers best we got How do you know Redmond wasn't late? Convict Colony Posted 7 May, 2017 Share Posted 7 May, 2017 I think this is it. Maybe not quite make or break, but if Boufal has been complaining about lack of playing time, this is telling him to show what he can do. It's all going to depend on whether he can learn to work for the team and defend, as Redmond can. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk To be fair tracking back and defending is something boufal probably does far more than redmond and tadic, in all the games he plays he is always coming back and getting stuck in. verlaine1979 Posted 7 May, 2017 Share Posted 7 May, 2017 Regardless of our strategy when we don't have the ball, when we do have it, we look useless. Is our only plan to get it forward expecting one of the fullbacks to chip it hopefully into the Liverpool half?
mrfahaji Posted 7 May, 2017 Share Posted 7 May, 2017 I know sometimes it's the only option, but we hardly ever keep possession when Forster boots it forward, we don't have the players to win the high ball. So frustrating therefore when we pass it all the way back to him only to end with a hoof. May as well take a punt from elsewhere on the pitch if that's the case. Pamplemousse Posted 7 May, 2017 Share Posted 7 May, 2017 Another superb defensive masterclass. Now we need to find a way to get Boufal on the ball more. Baird of the land Posted 7 May, 2017 Share Posted 7 May, 2017 Much better half from Saints. Very well organised display, though i think we are at times sitting a bit too deep and not pressing up on their midfield till a bit late imo. Still not sure this is a game suited to Boufal. Think Redmond's pace would be a better option.
