Toadhall Saint Posted 7 May, 2017 Posted 7 May, 2017 Surprised he's gone with Boufal over Redmond. Boufal needs game time but we need Redmond's work rate and discipline in a match like this. Ditto - redmonds defensive work in the semi at there's was outstanding
Lord Duckhunter Posted 7 May, 2017 Posted 7 May, 2017 reckon Puel lacks the balls to drop these players- as if they dictate things. when mane was late i remember koeman dropping him- doubt under Puel that would happen. with regards to forster- id hazard that Hassen is just that bad- and frasers best we got How do you know Redmond wasn't late? Pamplemousse Posted 7 May, 2017 Posted 7 May, 2017 Yeh, I have to admit my surprise at Redmond not playing ahead of Boufal However, in Puel we trust
Convict Colony Posted 7 May, 2017 Posted 7 May, 2017 I think this is it. Maybe not quite make or break, but if Boufal has been complaining about lack of playing time, this is telling him to show what he can do. It's all going to depend on whether he can learn to work for the team and defend, as Redmond can. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk To be fair tracking back and defending is something boufal probably does far more than redmond and tadic, in all the games he plays he is always coming back and getting stuck in.
CB Fry Posted 7 May, 2017 Posted 7 May, 2017 Boufal is going to have his best ever game today Shop window innit.
CB Fry Posted 7 May, 2017 Posted 7 May, 2017 Romeu brilliantly convincing Liverpool not to bid for him.
Jonnyboy Posted 7 May, 2017 Posted 7 May, 2017 We look poor to me, but if West Ham can beat Spurs anything can happen.
adrian lord Posted 7 May, 2017 Posted 7 May, 2017 Our tactics seem to be to bore Anfield and Liverpool to death.
Supersubpuckett Posted 7 May, 2017 Posted 7 May, 2017 We look poor to me, but if West Ham can beat Spurs anything can happen. Yes but we need a manager with some courage and belief in his team
Manuel Posted 7 May, 2017 Posted 7 May, 2017 If we're going to sit so deep, bring Boufal off and put Long on next to Gabbi.
Saint_Tony Posted 7 May, 2017 Posted 7 May, 2017 usually get nervous watching our games but have really lost interest this season. Liverpool only need to step it up a gear and should win this comfortably. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
nta786 Posted 7 May, 2017 Posted 7 May, 2017 Feels like we are parking the bus. If we win can win it 1-0 then with these tactics I shall take it now.
CB Fry Posted 7 May, 2017 Posted 7 May, 2017 Keep it this dull for the next hour or so and let's get off home with a nil nil.
Ohio Saint Posted 7 May, 2017 Posted 7 May, 2017 Trousers not here? OK, I'll do it This game has 0-0 written all over it.
Wimborne_saint Posted 7 May, 2017 Posted 7 May, 2017 Not pretty to watch but certainly keeping them at bay.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
bpsaint Posted 7 May, 2017 Posted 7 May, 2017 Wish Tadic would stop being a fanny whenever he gets fouled
verlaine1979 Posted 7 May, 2017 Posted 7 May, 2017 Regardless of our strategy when we don't have the ball, when we do have it, we look useless. Is our only plan to get it forward expecting one of the fullbacks to chip it hopefully into the Liverpool half?
mrfahaji Posted 7 May, 2017 Posted 7 May, 2017 I know sometimes it's the only option, but we hardly ever keep possession when Forster boots it forward, we don't have the players to win the high ball. So frustrating therefore when we pass it all the way back to him only to end with a hoof. May as well take a punt from elsewhere on the pitch if that's the case.
CB Fry Posted 7 May, 2017 Posted 7 May, 2017 Boufal not seen much of the ball but is at least working out there.
mrfahaji Posted 7 May, 2017 Posted 7 May, 2017 Note that Boufal has done a couple of good things defensively in the last few minutes
richardc Posted 7 May, 2017 Posted 7 May, 2017 i'd rather have a go and lose than watch this turgid boring cr*p
whelk Posted 7 May, 2017 Posted 7 May, 2017 i'd rather have a go and lose than watch this turgid boring cr*p Alright Keegan
whelk Posted 7 May, 2017 Posted 7 May, 2017 I need this feeling of sh1tting myself every time Forster has to face a shot in target to pass
Ohio Saint Posted 7 May, 2017 Posted 7 May, 2017 no streams? http://www.feed4u.xyz/watch/2042086/1/Liverpool-FC-vs-Southampton-FC.html
whelk Posted 7 May, 2017 Posted 7 May, 2017 You could always go and knock one out rather than watching this turgid sh1te?
SonicBoom Posted 7 May, 2017 Posted 7 May, 2017 If I were a Liverpool fan I think I'd prefer klopp shut his gob and managed the team rather than have endless and pointless rants at a fourth official.
richardc Posted 7 May, 2017 Posted 7 May, 2017 You could always go and knock one out rather than watching this turgid sh1te? lolz - i'll give you that one:lol:
adrian lord Posted 7 May, 2017 Posted 7 May, 2017 Good defensive display designed to frustrate the Dippers, who don't seem to have any creativity.
LuckyNumber7 Posted 7 May, 2017 Posted 7 May, 2017 I didn't think we could get any more boring than the Hull game last week. Seems I was wrong.
Pamplemousse Posted 7 May, 2017 Posted 7 May, 2017 Another superb defensive masterclass. Now we need to find a way to get Boufal on the ball more. I'd get Tadic off for Redmond on that right hand side, a fresh Redmond v Milner could be carnage A shot from us would be nice too.
Suhari Posted 7 May, 2017 Posted 7 May, 2017 BBC text updates suggesting Maya Yoshida and Dale Stephens are the busiest players on the park. Glad he's getting a game after all these years!
CB Fry Posted 7 May, 2017 Posted 7 May, 2017 you knock yourself out and enjoy then You'd be enjoying it much more if we were 2-0 down. Of course you would.
Baird of the land Posted 7 May, 2017 Posted 7 May, 2017 Much better half from Saints. Very well organised display, though i think we are at times sitting a bit too deep and not pressing up on their midfield till a bit late imo. Still not sure this is a game suited to Boufal. Think Redmond's pace would be a better option.
Batman Posted 7 May, 2017 Posted 7 May, 2017 Very good defensive performance so far. But another half of football with no attempts on goal. Reckon gabbi will be wanting out next
