Yeh, I have to admit my surprise at Redmond not playing ahead of Boufal

I think this is it. Maybe not quite make or break, but if Boufal has been complaining about lack of playing time, this is telling him to show what he can do. It's all going to depend on whether he can learn to work for the team and defend, as Redmond can.

To be fair tracking back and defending is something boufal probably does far more than redmond and tadic, in all the games he plays he is always coming back and getting stuck in.

usually get nervous watching our games but have really lost interest this season. Liverpool only need to step it up a gear and should win this comfortably.

Regardless of our strategy when we don't have the ball, when we do have it, we look useless. Is our only plan to get it forward expecting one of the fullbacks to chip it hopefully into the Liverpool half?

I know sometimes it's the only option, but we hardly ever keep possession when Forster boots it forward, we don't have the players to win the high ball. So frustrating therefore when we pass it all the way back to him only to end with a hoof. May as well take a punt from elsewhere on the pitch if that's the case.

Now we need to find a way to get Boufal on the ball more. I'd get Tadic off for Redmond on that right hand side, a fresh Redmond v Milner could be carnage

Much better half from Saints. Very well organised display, though i think we are at times sitting a bit too deep and not pressing up on their midfield till a bit late imo.

Still not sure this is a game suited to Boufal. Think Redmond's pace would be a better option.
