Secret Site Agent Posted 12 January, 2009 Posted 12 January, 2009 Monday afternoon, still on a bit of a high after the weekend, and cant get motivated this afternoon so was wondering: Why don't we try and get the Dragons to invest on Dragons Den? And how would YOU go about doing it. Now it's just a bit of fun, and we don't want a lot of I'm outs, and if you think about it sensibly it can BANG HOME what is good, and bad, with the club. Of you go.

eurosaint Posted 12 January, 2009 Posted 12 January, 2009 Let Jan do the pitch on his own, they might get so confused with his ramblings and start thinking that we indeed do play 'total football' and have a revolutionary concept ! There have been some strange investments in the past so why not try a circus on the south coast ?

When you find that please email it to any one of the shareholders, directors or wannbe's so they can use it to raise some money...... ah ha see the problem

Not true acording to Keith Harris on talksport last week , If you go in for a Ten Year growth plan you can make money investing in a football team according to him . What does he know anyway. He had an opportunity to big up saints when someone text in the question . " Have you made any progress selling Southampton Football Club ?" His answer ........." I wish ! " That was it , all he had to say FFS , Knob Jockey . He should have said no and I dont understand why as its such a good buy compared to other clubs etc......... The man is a waste of space.

Hatch Posted 12 January, 2009 Posted 12 January, 2009 We have the best academy in the whole wide universe, all of our 15-18 year olds were signed for free and will be worth at least a billion pounds each in 5 years time. And we have the best catering.

Sorry CM but you are being VERY unfair, space is a final frontier, never a waste and that is where that "gentleman" should be sent. And how many years has he been retained? and how much did his company charge in fees? I go with SSA's approach FAR more likely to get a deal on Dragon's Den, who should we send? No, not Chorley And FFS not LLS Tijuana T? nah on and on and on Rupes/Leon/Wildebeast hahahaha No we'll send Master Bates - imagine how good his powerpoint slides would look!

eelpie Posted 12 January, 2009 Posted 12 January, 2009 You could fill St Mary's with water and open a Titanic theme Park. .. and we have a captain who could go down with the ship.
charliemiller Posted 12 January, 2009 Posted 12 January, 2009 did orville have anything to say about it?:-) I think Orville would do a better job of selling saints . IMHO
DT Posted 12 January, 2009 Posted 12 January, 2009 We could be the next Stoke. Red and white stripes. Same players. Give us some money to pay our wage bill for one week/service our debts for three days.

Of you go. Good thread this really. We need to sell the Club, how about some other ideas on how we do it. For me it's as MLT said on SSN recently. Premiership club in facilities and intrastructure plus huge fan base and plenty of local spin off business opportunities. A club available for a rock bottom price. Add to that family friendly (well it will be again after Lowe), potential to delist it for one owner and whoever takes over becomes an instant hero. We can sell this club.
