Liverpool tickets

Any one know of the club will take the 2nd allocation?

It sold out after about an hour of going on sale to members on Thursday and only had single tickets available when I went to buy 2.

I really hope they will take the option up.

No chance. keeping tickets away from members/general sale helps generate the sterile , shirt wearing away following that they no doubt love.

We seem to have got into a habit of taking ridiculous away allocations, unfortunately.

I really don't understand the ticket allocations we take, Chelsea is the weirdest, we sell out full allocations in every other London away game.
Some sort of deal to keep the home side happy as they can sell the other seats for the "full price"? Who knows, it is weird though.

Tell me about it, I've lived a 10 minute walk from Stamford Bridge for a few years now and have yet to get a ticket to see us there!

Away section at Chelsea was about half-full for the mid week game when Puncheon scored a screamer (Adkin's last game?). What's that? Four seasons ago?

The difference here is cost. Tickets at Chelsea in recent seasons have been in excess of £50 (plus the ticket tax!), these are £20, we'd have comfortably sold 3,000. Tinpot allocation, fans will take some flak over this one.

When the Premier League announced that away tickers would be capped at £30 this season I thought we'd see an improvement in our away support and start taking bigger allocations everywhere but it's actually got worse. taking 983 tiny allocation is pitiful for Liverpool especially when over 100 of them were classed as "restricted view" or "severely restricted view" , we should only have to sell those once we'd had access to a bigger allocation of normal seats. We sold out with 3 and half weeks before the game, clearly enough time to sell more.

I think the same with Chelsea, sold out early yet took small allocation, in both cases the home side will sell the seats to their own fans for twice the price.

All I know is whenever I've been in a position to go and eagerly looked for when the Chelsea game was, it was either when I was out of town (e.g. Boxing Day), or we took a small allocation. Perhaps being midweek and maybe on Sky (?), the club thought it wouldn't sell the bigger allocation. They had the same reasoning last season when we played on Sunday on Sky. What a game/evening that was btw.
