Davo saved us defensively, as did Arter's left boot - mind you it was never a penalty so perhaps there was a tad of justice in his slip.

One of the problems we had today was wide right; JWP doesn't have the pace or the run to give us width. If he has to be in the team then put him in Davis' position. If we are going to stick with this set up I'd prefer Boufal at 10 with Redmond and Tadic the wide players.

And we ended the first half well But apart from a couple of opportunities, that second half was dreadful. 0-0 flatters us. We won't get away playing like that against Palace. Time for Puel to rotate please.
Baird of the land Posted 1 April, 2017 Posted 1 April, 2017 I think finishing above stoke is going to be a struggle let alone catching the likes of wba or Everton based on that performance. Positives were a clean sheet for the defence and the fact after missed a penalty that never should of been given. Let's hope gabbiadini comes back quickly if that's what we are like as an attacking force without him. Never a fan of sacrifing shape to throw on extra attacking players, especially one as out of form as boufal. Draw was a fair result as neither team deserved to score.

Fairly entertaining actually and were dominant for the first 60 minutes. I think any team would struggle when (arguably) thier 3 most influential players are out injured.
