TopGun Posted 12 January, 2009 Posted 12 January, 2009 Quite a good piece about Hoddle's academy in Spain. http://news.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/hi/newsbeat/newsid_7820000/7820412.stm
JohnnyFartPants Posted 12 January, 2009 Posted 12 January, 2009 It is a great idea. Can't think why nobody else has ever done it.
Colinjb Posted 12 January, 2009 Posted 12 January, 2009 Isn't Team Bath doing similar but with more emphasis on other education? And is it really wise to get Graham Rix envolved with youth again!?
dubai_phil Posted 12 January, 2009 Posted 12 January, 2009 Kids from academies that don't have a process to go from U-18 straight into a team... Wonder where that was heard before? Oh yes SCW's mandate in an interview when he first talked about coming here Before the politics & redd***p got in the way. Neat idea, large investment, could make some good money if they turn out a couple of players a year
Scummer Posted 12 January, 2009 Posted 12 January, 2009 One thing I've never understood about this scheme is how do the players get noticed by league clubs again if they are over in Spain, not playing competitive football?

I guess if Hoddle thinks they're good enough he circulates a CV to clubs.
