Channon's Sideburns Posted 12 January, 2009 Author Posted 12 January, 2009 Didn't look that way to me Sunday before last, and this Saturday I personally won't give him a second thought if we win 3-0. Well that was probably because the 15,000 or so Plastic Mancs in the Saints areas had an effect....or the fact that we were all supporting the team?? Therein lies the problem, if you forget what he stands for at this club and still line his pockets then you deserve what you will get...which will be worse..League 1. Watch the atmosphere change if we lose the next 2 games. These are the most critical games in the Clubs recent history as they could shape our season. It's time to put up or shut up for Lowe, Poortvliet (who I feel is an honourable man) and Wilde. Well forget Wilde...you can see he'll let Rupert take the flak for all this...

Don't get me wrong, I'd like him gone. But this only becomes an issue when a team is losing or playing against moderate opposition I've noticed.

Big Bad Bob Posted 13 January, 2009 Posted 13 January, 2009 (edited) 1997/98 Liverpool 2-3 Saints 1999/2000 Saints 2-1 Liverpool 2001/02 Saints 2-0 Liverpool 2003/04 Liverpool 1-2 Saints 2003/04 Saints 2-0 Liverpool 2004/05 Saints 2-0 Liverpool When was the 3-3 against the Scousers at the Dell, the one where Pahars equalised in the last minute?? Was it the 2000/2001 season, god I'm getting old IMHO!! Oh BTW, the original assertion in this thread is a load of tosh!! Edited 13 January, 2009 by Big Bad Bob
saintjay77 Posted 13 January, 2009 Posted 13 January, 2009 IMO Rupes has done some things better than the previous board and some things worse. The last few years have been horrific for us as a club and I want some good times to come back. but to think it all went down hill after beating man u 6-3 is ridiculas. That was a fantastic result that shocked everyone in a season that we were tipped for relegation. there were a few years while lowe has been here where we were not the ones being tipped to go down! that in its self is an achievement compared to some of the years preceeding lowe. I dont like the guy but find it hard to argue that he is the sole reason to everything bad at our club while everything that is good has just been done to wind Lowe up.
