hamster Posted 20 February, 2009 Share Posted 20 February, 2009 "It's a crazy schedule, six games in 17 days and all big games" It's because Spurs were quite good that you've got them fixtures FFS! Is there a set of fans in England that wouldn't want to have 2 european matches, a bloody cup final and (on paper) an excellent chance at 3 points against Hull in the Prem within a week? This is one reason that I respected Poortvliet, he HAD to play young inexperienced team cos that is what he had available, but never complained. He may not have got results but he never blamed the circumstances.

Mr saint Posted 28 February, 2009 Share Posted 28 February, 2009 Redknapp was just on Football Focus telling us that he joined Spurs when they only had 2 points from 8 games. That's awful...I'm surprised he's never bought that up before

Mr saint Posted 1 March, 2009 Share Posted 1 March, 2009 A couple of cracking quotes on the BBC website made me smile: Harry Redknapp says "Middlesbrough must be sitting at home laughing" as he bemoans fatigue and injuries among his squad. Spurs, two points above the relegation zone, host Boro in a crucial game on Wednesday. And of course, Manchester United's win opens up another spot in the Europa League (Uefa Cup) for a Premier League side. Losing Carling Cup finalists no longer qualify - which will please Harry Redknapp, who isn't such a fan anyway. Good news for the likes of Everton and Arsenal.
