St Chalet Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 Thread put up in advance, hope when it is unlocked we'll be lifting a cup.
badgerx16 Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 Proud of that performance, might have been so different but for a dodgy lino. Presumably FF is today's scapegoat.
Micky Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 Very, very proud of that Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
St.Patrik Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 Don't get the Gabbi for Long sub ...... keep the best players on the pitch
washsaint Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 Totally undeserved win for Utd.....Only 1 team in it for most of the game. Terrible lino, some poor decisions defensively by us and a gutting defeat. I would say all the Saints team can hold their heads up really high. They played out of their skins and should have won that game.
Ashby Saint Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 Let down by the centre back situation we should never have found ourselves in. Give it a f***ing rest ... we've played magnificently today. If you can't be proud of Saints today then go and support another Team.
IronCitySaint Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 Only one team deserves to win this, but lost in classic Saints style. Everyone was great except Forester who I would be happy never to see play for us again. Overall game lost by Les Reed and the ineptitude with the defensive situation. If we had two experienced defenders and a goalie today would have been a victory.
Elias Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 Cheated out of that, as expected. Anyone know who the linesman was?
stknowle Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 Gutted, totally gutted. We played so ****ing well. Just lapses cost us. FFS
ArgentinianSaint Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 Anything can be said about our great match, one of the best games of our season and yet we lost, great match. Now lets finish the season decently and prepare for next season, COYS
DT Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 Great support here though. Didn't deserve that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ohio Saint Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 Cheated out of that, as expected. Anyone know who the linesman was? Manny Manc from manchester
Pamplemousse Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 Unlucky, but the lads never gave in. Most teams 2-0 down would have capitulated. One bonus (I'm clutching at straws a bit here) no Europe next season so we'll have a better league campaign, and go for it in both cups next season. Finally, a massive applause to all the supporters at Wembley. You outsung them, you were loud, and did the club proud.
Saints foreva Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 Unlucky lads. **** those ****s for mocking our Liebherr tribute.
washsaint Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 Only one team deserves to win this, but lost in classic Saints style. Everyone was great except Forester who I would be happy never to see play for us again. Overall game lost by Les Reed and the ineptitude with the defensive situation. If we had two experienced defenders and a goalie today would have been a victory. Get a life.....Was it Forster that gave away the free kick for their first? Was it Forster that left Zlatan unmarked? All our team played really, really well. I am greatly encouraged by what Puel has achieved on the training ground and this bodes well for next season. The best Cup Final for years.
Micky Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 Let down by the centre back situation we should never have found ourselves in. Mate don't, honestly. If you can't find any positive from that, pi as off somewhere else. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
DT Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 Played some bloody good football at times. Should have kept gabbiadini on though. And time to drop Fraser for good Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
ArgentinianSaint Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 Few mistakes, by the line man and by our players, forster-de gea is a huge diference, missing vvd who would have made a better defence
Pamplemousse Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 Let's hope we thrash them at St Mary's and cock up any hope of them qualifying for the Champions League
saintadam Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 So proud of the boys today! They all played so well. So shame we loose today, what if the linesman hadn't wrongly disallowed the first goal...
Ohio Saint Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 Unlucky lads. **** those ****s for mocking our Liebherr tribute. What? where? What happened?
SaintRobbie Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 Best team lost. Best fans won. Best manager got the result. Well played our depleted team. Badly led but gave their all. Goodbye Puel. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ashby Saint Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 Magnificent performance, they couldn't have given any more on the pitch.
James Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 Shouldn't have taken Gabbi off. Stupid decision. Very proud nonetheless.
Ohio Saint Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 Proud and gutted. More later when I'm drunker
austsaint Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 You couldn't ask more from a Southampton team. Heartbreaking end but what a performance from our lads. Cedric, Bertrand, Yoshida, Gabbi all magnificent.
Golac's Iron Gonads Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 great effort, sadly the center of defence looked a weakness and so it proved, far to much space for Lingaard's and the ego's winner. It's pretty obvious we've solved our goal scoring problem, hope we solve the center back problem in the summer, could have a decent season next year.
sfc1976 Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 Hard to see how we would have scored in extra time anyway with Gabby off. Bizarre. Great come back though.
Pamplemousse Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 I'm fairly confident that we'll be back at Wembley soon. Today was not our day, but it will be.
The Saint Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 Anyone who finds something to moan about after that performance should go support another team as far as I'm concerned. Heads held high, it's football.... Well done...!!
lickierambert Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 Proud of the team. Life isn't fair. CB situation cost us
Saint_Tony Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 Gave it our all. No complaints. Utd weren't great but Zlatan is world class and is a game changer. We don't have players like that. We did ourselves proud though. we march on Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
OttawaSaint Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 So ****ing typical. We played really well get ****ed over by the lino, get back in it, have some great chances including one I think JWP will have nightmares about. Romeu hits post, Stephens goes close and then those jammy ****s break and win it. ****ing gutted.
Ohio Saint Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 It's REALLY peeing me off now when I think that this makes RK happy as they walk up the steps.
Micky Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 Anyone who finds something to moan about after that performance should go support another team as far as I'm concerned. Heads held high, it's football.... Well done...!! This, quite a few times over. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
stknowle Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 Great effort today, absolutely superb. My god it's painful watching those ****as collecting their 45th (?) major trophy when we've just undeservedly missed out on our 2nd. Have to say though, Forster terrible for the free kick and we just gave them far too much space for the 2nd.
tajjuk Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 Typically lucky Man Utd, I seriously hate Man Utd as a football club, proid of the lads though they deserved the win, were the better team throughout but Utd fluke it thanks to the lino. But meh, Pogba cost more money than our whole team pretty much, Man Utd bought that trophy, if we'd won it we would have earned it, they;ve spent what like half a billion in transfers over the last 5 years and it gets them a fluke league cup win where they had to rely on a 35 year old and the lino. Just a shame our team can't play like this more often, we'd probably be in the top 6 and still in the other cups if they could put the same performance in against Hull and the like.
simo Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 Proud and very bitter at the first goal being ruled out , how the he'll a professional linesman can be that wrong is beyond words , but it was always going to happen tbf no one wanted us to win that game but imo we dominated and the best team lost !
Baird of the land Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 Magnificent performance just so gutting to lose after having one incorrectly ruled out and then coming from 2 nil down. 3 rd goal was particularly galling as in came from our own corner once again. Thought gabbiadini was excellent but looked tired and long was a millimetre from getting the winner. Forster continues to have a poor season.
Dark Munster Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 When are the football authorities going to drag themselves into the 21st century and use video technology for key decisions, such as disallowing perfectly goals?
OttawaSaint Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 It's REALLY peeing me off now when I think that this makes RK happy as they walk up the steps. And all the skate ****s that probably stole Utd shirts for the occasion.
alpine_saint Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 Very, very proud of Saints. Couldnt have done more. The difference was Ibrahimovic, in fact he carried them. Yoshi was MOTM for me. Concerned about Forster. Can someone please tell me why the disallowed goal was an incorrect decision ?
Hamilton Saint Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 What a heartbreaker! I feel so disappointed, but also extremely proud. Well done to the team and the club. The effort was there, we just ran out of luck.
SOTONS EAST SIDE Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 Now Puel can ferk off, and take FF the useless sack of sh it
Pamplemousse Posted 26 February, 2017 Posted 26 February, 2017 Anyone who finds something to moan about after that performance should go support another team as far as I'm concerned. Heads held high, it's football.... Well done...!! Exactly, we played very well. Unfortunately, we came up against a clinical team with more money than we can imagine. If we play like that against Watford we will demolish them.
