Just read something online.

Through optastats they have recorded fastest players on the pitch this season.

At joint eighth is........ maya!!

But the fastest of all is .... Shane.

Food for thought.

Obviously you need to bear in mind it's not often a centre back gets the opportunity to reach top speed. Look like Yoshida did it. Maybe it was tracking back after a set piece, or joining a counter attack (can't remember him ever joining a counter attack though to be honest).

I'm not surprised by Long. When he's sharp, and looks fast, he looks really sharp and really fast. He must play with knocks, or niggles, quite often. As when he looks at peak fitness he is lightning fast. We shouldn't forget Long is a work-horse striker that chases lost causes and burns energy too. He'd be ridiculously quick if he hung forward like Ronaldo and didn't defend (As would Rodriguez).

My next door neighbour (Liverpool fan) just refers to him as the Road Runner, says it all really. He reckons we will win next Sunday with Gabbiadini giving their defence all sorts of grief and with Long coming on to stretch them in the last 15-20 mins

I feel like I'm in a Timewarp.

Quite. These were stats from the first two or three matches of the season, hardly representative of the league overall when a pile of players won't even have needed to sprint in those games.

Ah. Didn't realise that. Thought they were up to date.

Thought it was a bit odd hence why I posted it.

Still.. yoshi has got to be quicker than zlatan so all good [emoji6]
