League Cup Final at WembleyThe Cup final between Southampton and Manchester United is due to kick off at 16:30. This is likely to make services to and from Southampton extremely busy. An increase in customer numbers is anticipated at Clapham Junction for interchange Overground services to Wembley along with London Waterloo for Underground services to Wembley

There are additional trains scheduled to run from Southampton Central to London Waterloo at 10:50 and 11:50 with additional evening services running from London Waterloo to Southampton Central at 20:50 and 21:50.

Fair play to SWT for doing the sensible thing for once.

If matey only has a very slight hamstring strain let him start on Sunday and rip the thing open the first time he sets off at pace.

Apart from that, I don't care whether they put out a third team, I just want us to beat whoever is stuck out there in front of us.

And Jose can say whatever he wants, I won't be listening.

Tell him Gabbiadini hasn't played in the English League Cup this season with Italian team Napoli... so isn't cup tied! :mcinnes: :D

Are you sure? I reckon Pompey played them in an earlier round in front of a 120,000 crowd at Farton. The Italians said that it was the pinnacle or their careers and that they haven't seen better more passionate supporters than that night.

Who was it on here that said Utd had their Europa league game moved because of the final?

Whoever said it is wrong and have based that on no factual evidence at all. The reason is because Lyon (c30 miles from St Etienne) are at home tomorrow night. Exactly the same reason for Fenerbahce playing tonight as well (Besiktas at home tomorrow). Couldn't tell you why Schalke are though.

However it doesn't surprise me that someone has made this up as some people generally seem to believe everyone in football and the football media hates us :mcinnes:

At his age no way can Ibrahimovic be involved in three games in seven days, apparently it's physically impossible even for a youngster - for sure he'll be rotated out.

You'd be surprised, the bloke is very rarely injured, he has his own fitness specialist who has been with him his entire career for this exact reason.

José initially says shame that both Carrick and Mike would miss the final.....when pressed he said he didn't say that.....mind games already from that tosser.

Never mind him

I'm looking forward to his meltdown after the match, complaining that referees are 'afraid' again.

Once again in this cup run, we don't go in as favourites, and once again, we WILL have a chance.

With just a little bit of luck, we might just take it.

If he's even tweaked his hamstring there's not a chance he'll play on Sunday. Must say I thought it was a bizarre team selection from Mourinho, they were already through before it started and he pretty much went full strength.

Although he doesn't move much.

Can't see his ego taking being rested for cup final

Not that it will effect many on here but I ordered my kids some of the Wembley tat/merchandise from the mega store having been prompted by one of those marketing emails-along the lines of order now ,delivery guaranteed for Wembley. Anyway it turns out as my order included flags they don't post out any items on the order even though that's isn't made clear on any of the purchase info. I have to collect the lot from SMS. Not a real issue apart from we are away for half term until Saturday night. Just thought I'd give heads up in case anyone else has bought anything. Online it just says my order has been fulfilled but someone was checking at home and nothing had been delivered.

Why are flags so impossible to post out?

I don't know- I phoned up to find out where the order was and guy looking into it who was very helpful said "because of the poles" I assume he meant something to do with breakages or cost of posting rather than the nationality. He did also say he wasn't aware of this restriction until he looked into my order.

Jesus, just sellotape some bubblewrap around the thing! They're only little car flags aren't they?

These were flags as in stadium flags not the car ones don't know the size but I'd guess a a couple of feet square so I guess the pole could be 2-3 foot. Not a massive issue I know but if anyone else has ordered online and is expecting a delivery just check your merchandise isn't waiting in store.

Looking forward to the game. Just had a little tip off from someone in the know that I thought I'd share for those who like a flutter.

All I'm saying is that there are already a couple of online bookies that a running a book on Katharina eating a large cream scone during the second half. Get on it now while there's still a bit of value.

I've got a strong suspicion that I'll down a pint or two before the game.

Think I'll try to get on that one before the bookies catch on.
