Monk Posted 8 February, 2017 Posted 8 February, 2017 Indeed. There are local Soton kids who do that regularly. and some posters on here use to make the drive regularly. Really not an issue for a player.
Monk Posted 8 February, 2017 Posted 8 February, 2017 VVD replacement = Ruben Semedo @ Benfica Fonte replacement = Fabian Schar @ Hoffenheim These are the main priorities from what I gathered at the beginning of the season.
Wimborne_saint Posted 8 February, 2017 Posted 8 February, 2017 VVD replacement = Ruben Semedo @ Benfica Fonte replacement = Fabian Schar @ Hoffenheim These are the main priorities from what I gathered at the beginning of the season. Semedo is at sporting I believe
doddisalegend Posted 8 February, 2017 Posted 8 February, 2017 Wonder what happens in the summer if the club get offered £50m, can't see Les turning that down whether VVD wants to go or not. As for this new story about Puel wanting rid of Fonte, that may or may not be the case, but it certainly helps Les off the hook, bit of a coincidence coming out now, just as he's getting flak and not at the time it actually happened. Is it new? several different posters have been posting ITK info that Fonte had being causing trouble months before the Jan transfer window opened.
Millbrook Saint Posted 8 February, 2017 Posted 8 February, 2017 Fair enough, I wouldn't know personally, sounds like Fonte made his position untenable thinking a top club would come in for him, then realised in Jan that there were none, but too late, bridges already burnt. Would love to know exactly what happened behind the scenes

Millbrook Saint Posted 8 February, 2017 Posted 8 February, 2017 Sounds plausible I will never believe he handed in a transfer request because he was desperate for a dream move to WHU.... Yeah, guess the club took the view that him spitting his dummy was the same as placing a transfer request, shame those bridges couldn't have been rebuilt but I guess football is a game full of egos. I wonder if he ever lays in bed at night and regrets that move to whu
brett24 Posted 8 February, 2017 Posted 8 February, 2017 How long do work permits take, it's not done by Friday lunchtime he will not be available for Saturday.
S-Clarke Posted 8 February, 2017 Posted 8 February, 2017 How long do work permits take, it's not done by Friday lunchtime he will not be available for Saturday. If he signed on Monday, or friday, he wouldn't be available for Saturday whatever fitness wise.
LeBenali Posted 8 February, 2017 Posted 8 February, 2017 Semedo is at sporting I believe I think there are two Semedo's, one being a right back that Man Utd are after. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Monk Posted 8 February, 2017 Posted 8 February, 2017 Semedo is at sporting I believe That's the one, apologies.
Give it to Ron Posted 8 February, 2017 Posted 8 February, 2017 Di Marzio saying almost completed and Caceres is following clubs Instagram Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
CB Fry Posted 8 February, 2017 Posted 8 February, 2017 How long do work permits take, it's not done by Friday lunchtime he will not be available for Saturday. He ain't playing on Saturday, work permit or not. If he's fit enough to be on the bench at the cup final we're doing well.
Raging Bull Posted 8 February, 2017 Posted 8 February, 2017 Di Marzio saying almost completed and Caceres is following clubs Instagram We're the only 1 he's following. Let's hope he stays fit, looking forward to watching him play.
CityRanger Posted 8 February, 2017 Posted 8 February, 2017 He's staying at the Hilton Ageas in West End. Keep your eyes peeled at the West End Brewery, likes a drink apparently.
Portugalsaint Posted 8 February, 2017 Posted 8 February, 2017 Keep an eye out for a damaged Ferrari, park well clear everyone.
shurlock Posted 8 February, 2017 Posted 8 February, 2017 For me, the haircut is a big no. Another Shoreditch Samurai that will end in tears.
Portugalsaint Posted 8 February, 2017 Posted 8 February, 2017 Nelson Semedo is at Benfica not Sporting Lisboa
woodsaint Posted 8 February, 2017 Posted 8 February, 2017 Him and VVD will have a lovely man bun/ponytail combo at CB. Should bring back Ostlund for that matter too
BallBoy Posted 8 February, 2017 Posted 8 February, 2017 I believe Caceres will play this weekend as long as he is fit and available. He has the pedigree and the experience to come straight in and will represent less of a risk than Stephens or even Yoshida. Gabbiadini came straight in so I think Cacaras will too. I hope so.

Gabbiadini had played in the last year, so a fairly big difference.

Probably a bit of a risk to play someone without a work permit.
DT Posted 8 February, 2017 Posted 8 February, 2017 The work permit is taking a while on account of Puel rotating all available pens Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Wimborne_saint Posted 8 February, 2017 Posted 8 February, 2017 A picture floating about of caceres training in saints kit
Shance Posted 8 February, 2017 Posted 8 February, 2017 Actually looks legit as well. Ok, that's enough for me then.
Lighthouse Posted 8 February, 2017 Posted 8 February, 2017 Bit harsh to wedgie someone on their first day.
saintwbu Posted 8 February, 2017 Posted 8 February, 2017 He looks to have had a significant change in philosophy regarding his shorts!
Dark Munster Posted 8 February, 2017 Posted 8 February, 2017 The ankle looks very fragile. I suggest they wrap it in cotton wool.
Disco Stu Posted 8 February, 2017 Posted 8 February, 2017 Good signing. Might not hit the ground running though.
Dark Munster Posted 8 February, 2017 Posted 8 February, 2017 Good signing. Might not hit the ground running though. I hope not. If he does the ankle will probably snap.
shurlock Posted 9 February, 2017 Posted 9 February, 2017 He literally looks like he's come off the street and hasn't had time to put out his cigarette.
saintadam Posted 9 February, 2017 Posted 9 February, 2017 He need to partner up with Romeu on leg-day.
LeBizzier69 Posted 9 February, 2017 Posted 9 February, 2017 I quite like the new 1st team semi-speedo training shorts.
Toomer Posted 9 February, 2017 Posted 9 February, 2017 I think he's found John McGrath's old shorts. Wonder how many red card's he would get in today's none contact football.
Badger Posted 9 February, 2017 Posted 9 February, 2017 Wonder how many red card's he would get in today's none contact football. Same could be asked about Gabriel, Walker, and O'Neill. When it comes to 'Fantasy Football' I've often wondered the outcome of Wimbledon's Crazy Gang v our Alehouse. McGrath v 'Fash the Bash', and O'Neill & Fisher doing combat with Vinnie Jones & Dennis Wise in midfield.
a1ex2001 Posted 9 February, 2017 Posted 9 February, 2017 Uncanny resemblance to Osvaldo. Indeed let's hope it's just the looks and he doesn't turn out to be a total idiot! Looks like this one is done would be a bit embarrassing if we can't get him a work permit he could have done the decent thing and pick up an Italian passport during his spell over there, they used to be really easy to come by!

I'll probably be less upset if he wants to chin Fonte....
egg Posted 9 February, 2017 Posted 9 February, 2017 He need to partner up with Romeu on leg-day. Thought the same. The average academy player will have bigger legs than him - looks like a fella who hasn't done any proper training for a while.
OldNick Posted 9 February, 2017 Posted 9 February, 2017 its the bloke on the right we are signing, he hasnt trained for a couple of weeks
