BotleySaint Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 We've wrecked the last 10 mins giving away silly fouls. Played right into their hands today.
Jonnyboy Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 Is Kat at the game? Thought i just saw her then? I thought oh Kat's looking quite hot but then realised it was one of the Davids' wives.
Heisenberg Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 Kat is in the stands with Ralph. I wonder what she's thinking? Which of the rabble can I sell this summer?
Unbelievable Jeff Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 Can't sack him. He takes his ex clubs to court when he get's sacked. Les won't pay out his contract as that would being admitting he was wrong. Just got to accept this is us for the future. I don't have a problem with Puel. I have an issue with what he's been left to work with, and if I were him I wouldn't want to have to try to work with that ****.
BotleySaint Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 What was he doing shooting there? What a waste from Cedric.
adrian lord Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 Which of the rabble can I sell this summer? Hard to see where her annual windfall is going to come from this year- VVD injury will scotch his £35M sale.
St Marco Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 Kat is in the stands with Ralph. I wonder what she's thinking? That Fonte fella looks good.
5string Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 Please tell Cedric to never try shooting again. He can't do it.
OttawaSaint Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 Just can't warm to Cedric. I know he is a EURO winner but every time I watch him he doesn't seem to defend or attack well. Just really meh.
ArgentinianSaint Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 This is our season. One game to get something positive. After today, I don't see where our PL points are coming from. I thought we'd win against this lot. We need some points we are not YET in a critical situation, we just need some wins and we will be safe, but playing like this... the efl final is all we got left to save this season
Micky Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 If I were Puel I'd quit. He's been dealt the ****tiest hand this season. You wouldn't, really you wouldn't. So easy to say on an internet forum - but in real life. Never.
Saint Billy Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 That Fonte fella looks good. Wish we had a player like that!
nmp Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 As I have said before - average 1 goal a game, poor tactics, no settled team - rotation/resting not working by any stretch of the imagination - we don't look like being able to beat anyone at the moment and haven't done for ages. Forget the EFL experience cos we basically scrapped through and IMO not convincing - yes maybe Les Reed has caused some problems but the manager is simply not good enough - whats the point of having even 95% possession if you cannot score and cannot win. Puel OUT !!!!!!!!!!
St Lej Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 Where's the leadership out there aswell? Lacking in strong characters, Romeu aside. Recipe for disaster this
saintant Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 As I have said before - average 1 goal a game, poor tactics, no settled team - rotation/resting not working by any stretch of the imagination - we don't look like being able to beat anyone at the moment and haven't done for ages. Forget the EFL experience cos we basically scrapped through and IMO not convincing - yes maybe Les Reed has caused some problems but the manager is simply not good enough - whats the point of having even 95% possession if you cannot score and cannot win. Puel OUT !!!!!!!!!! Second that! Out of his depth I'm afraid.
adrian lord Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 If it wasn't for the league cup, I suspect the clamour for Puel to go would be deafening.
Pamplemousse Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 I don't blame Puel for this sh*t show, he's been screwed over by the board and a bunch of disinterested players Indeed. I overestimated Stephens. I'm afraid that experiment has failed. Put Bertrand in at CB and McQueen at LB. We'll be doing more attacking than defending at Sunderland I imagine.
OttawaSaint Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 Davis. When shooting, go for the net area either side of that man trying to catch the ball. Hope that helps.
alpine_saint Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 And the irony of the situation we find ourselves in is that the arrogant " I've found the magic formula of how to run a football club" complacency we are now suffering under Reed is not a million miles away in attitude from that exhibited by the last tw*t who managed to take us down...
5string Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 AAAAAAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH!! Just bleeding well play proper football and shoot ON TARGET into the corners, not straight at the sodding keeper. Playing like bad amateurs. I am SO frustrated watching this rubbish!
austsaint Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 There's likely to be a lot of criticism about our makeshift central defence, but Stephens and Yoshida have actually been ok. The real weakness today has been in midfield - Davis and JWP have left a lot to Romeu and offered little in attack.
Heisenberg Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 3-1 down and our fans singing another players name...... The cauldron that is Saint Mary's
Sheaf Saint Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 Where's the leadership out there aswell? He's wearing a West Ham shirt, after we sold him without finding a replacement.
saintwbu Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 Just can't warm to Cedric. I know he is a EURO winner but every time I watch him he doesn't seem to defend or attack well. Just really meh. Couldn't agree more
Pamplemousse Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 If it wasn't for the league cup, I suspect the clamour for Puel to go would be deafening. Nothing to do with Puel IMO - board's failure to sign a defender has cost us. I doubt any manager would do much better. Can't blame the manager for players making individual errors.
St Marco Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 Indeed. I overestimated Stephens. I'm afraid that experiment has failed. Put Bertrand in at CB and McQueen at LB. We'll be doing more attacking than defending at Sunderland I imagine. Like we did at Swansea? Didnt you have us down to win that 1-6?
hypochondriac Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 If it wasn't for the league cup, I suspect the clamour for Puel to go would be deafening. Yep. In a funny way it could actually cause our relegation.
Avenue_Saint Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 Doesn't anyone put a decking bid in for James "the master" ward prowse?!!! Shambolic
Mallagroth Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 70% Reeds fault and 30% Puel. Puel had no strikers in first half and have no defenders second half and a **** load of injuries.
Heisenberg Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 Indeed. I overestimated Stephens. I'm afraid that experiment has failed. Put Bertrand in at CB and McQueen at LB. We'll be doing more attacking than defending at Sunderland I imagine. We will beat Sunderland easy
Pamplemousse Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 Like we did at Swansea? Didnt you have us down to win that 1-6? It's a shame that people seem quite happy because they've been proven correct. You sad, sad people.
Crab Lungs Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 Mass exodus at St. Marys.. I thought that was every summer?
OldNick Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 Can't sack him. He takes his ex clubs to court when he get's sacked. Les won't pay out his contract as that would being admitting he was wrong. Just got to accept this is us for the future. I am of the opinion Les would sack the manager if it meant it saved his bacon. Turn the wrath on others rather than it come on him.
Jonnyboy Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 Davis. When shooting, go for the net area either side of that man trying to catch the ball. Hope that helps. I love Davis but when I think of all the chances he's had over the last two seasons it's depressing. Not sure where his scoring ability went.
5string Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 I'd actually be annoyed if we scored now, because we'd still lose. If I was WHam I'd let us score just before full time, just to annoy us more.
OttawaSaint Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 It's a shame that people seem quite happy because they've been proven correct. You sad, sad people. This.
Unbelievable Jeff Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 You wouldn't, really you wouldn't. So easy to say on an internet forum - but in real life. Never. I've quit a job without another to go to because it's been ****. It's quite common.
Jonnyboy Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 Indeed. I overestimated Stephens. I'm afraid that experiment has failed. Put Bertrand in at CB and McQueen at LB. We'll be doing more attacking than defending at Sunderland I imagine. Have you seen their score today?
hypochondriac Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 It's a shame that people seem quite happy because they've been proven correct. You sad, sad people. Why would anyone be happy? It's sad that people like you have found our form and performances this year so difficult to accept. No saints fan is happy about this, it's terrible and it has been for most of the season.
saintant Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 It's a shame that people seem quite happy because they've been proven correct. You sad, sad people. Not at all happy to be proved right. Always want Saints to succeed but I'm afraid in Puel we have found a manager who is not nearly good enough for the cut and thrust of the Premier League. Mass rotation might work in weak French leagues but it is not the way forward here.
Crab Lungs Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 Why would anyone be happy? It's sad that people like you have found our form and performances this year so difficult to accept. No saints fan is happy about this, it's terrible and it has been for most of the season. This. I'm certainly not happy about it.
hypochondriac Posted 4 February, 2017 Posted 4 February, 2017 Nothing to do with Puel IMO - board's failure to sign a defender has cost us. I doubt any manager would do much better. Can't blame the manager for players making individual errors. And just say we did get relegated would that be nothing to do with puel?
