richardc Posted 1 February, 2017 Posted 1 February, 2017 If anyone has any contacts at the club could they please pass a message to our midfielders not to lean back when they shoot and tell the rest of the team to stop playing aimless crosses into the box. I wonder if this has ever crossed Puel's mind?
Cosmic Posted 1 February, 2017 Posted 1 February, 2017 I just want us to play 4-2-3-1 like most people have been saying for months.
Danbert Posted 1 February, 2017 Posted 1 February, 2017 Fonte to give away a penalty and score a home goal
Give it to Ron Posted 1 February, 2017 Posted 1 February, 2017 Jose starts Vs City tonight ! 2 down poor Jose just got left for dead on second goal looks uncomfortable! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
sandwichsaint Posted 1 February, 2017 Posted 1 February, 2017 Jose starts Vs City tonight ! Bet he wishes he hadn't, come on Citeh and a couple of red cards for WH too.
Danbert Posted 1 February, 2017 Posted 1 February, 2017 22 minutes gone, and it's 2-0 City. Fonte was bypassed by De Bryne for the first goal, and left for dead by Sane for the second goal. I'm definitely not bitter.
woodsaint Posted 1 February, 2017 Posted 1 February, 2017 Jose starts Vs City tonight ! Leroy Sane just breezed past him like he wasnt there for Citys second
adrian lord Posted 1 February, 2017 Posted 1 February, 2017 Sane and Jesus destroying a very poor WHU. 3-0. Screw you Fonte.
Saint Albert Posted 1 February, 2017 Posted 1 February, 2017 West Ham's defenders are doing their best impersonation of training pylons in this game. Reminds me of the stuffing they took against City in the FA Cup.
qwertyell Posted 1 February, 2017 Posted 1 February, 2017 I'm sure Claude will be watching West Ham's defence capitulate to pace, movement and decisive forward passing... and working out how to set us up to play exactly the opposite...
Saint Garrett Posted 1 February, 2017 Posted 1 February, 2017 We'll make them look like Italy on Saturday, shouldn't worry.
AK Posted 1 February, 2017 Posted 1 February, 2017 This might make a few people smile. http://www.football.london/west-ham-united-fc/players/west-ham-fans-turn-new-12543033
Pamplemousse Posted 1 February, 2017 Posted 1 February, 2017 We'll beat them easily, like we did against Leicester
Heisenberg Posted 1 February, 2017 Posted 1 February, 2017 We'll beat them easily, like we did against Leicester You give me the fear everytime you post your "we'll beat them easy" Didnt you do that before Palace, WBA, Burnley, Hull, HBS and Prague?
DT Posted 1 February, 2017 Posted 1 February, 2017 An injury would compete the set Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Give it to Ron Posted 1 February, 2017 Posted 1 February, 2017 Well Jose won't be playing Saturday this is on a par with Alan Bennett for us Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
whelk Posted 1 February, 2017 Posted 1 February, 2017 Home team with 25% possession. City toying with them all evening
Give it to Ron Posted 1 February, 2017 Posted 1 February, 2017 Snodgrass and Antonio look good Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
SuperSAINT Posted 1 February, 2017 Posted 1 February, 2017 Tonight has next to no bearing on Saturday's game. They will cause us big problems.
DT Posted 1 February, 2017 Posted 1 February, 2017 Tonight has next to no bearing on Saturday's game. They will cause us big problems. True. Still fun though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
SuperSAINT Posted 1 February, 2017 Posted 1 February, 2017 True. Still fun though I will give you that. Let's just hope we take our chances. I don't want a repeat WBA performance.
Pamplemousse Posted 1 February, 2017 Posted 1 February, 2017 You give me the fear everytime you post your "we'll beat them easy" Didnt you do that before Palace, WBA, Burnley, Hull, HBS and Prague? You're right, but we SHOULD beat them I'm confident that we will. People should have more faith in this team.

Dalek2003 Posted 1 February, 2017 Posted 1 February, 2017 I'm quite amazed by the flippancy of the happy clappers on this site who seem oblivious of the fact that we are being sucked into the relegation zone with each league game we play. Tactically we are frankly inept this season and if the manager keeps on repeating the same mistakes he has made ALL SEASON we are going to be fighting for survival come May. We have poor strength in depth and a first team who are playing to the tactics of the manager which are being exposed as inadequate for this league. The hubris and arrogance of the executive in thinking we will survive in the premier league playing the way we have been is breathtaking! What has happened to this football club? It is evident that the executive are making a percentage play here. Well I'm sorry, this is not a computer game. This is starting to look so much like the last time we got relegated, and on this board especially - so many people making excuses for poor performances, where we are tactically exposed by the opposition. The bulk of our first team finished 6th in the league last season! Have all the other teams improved so dramatically while we have trodden water? Or are the managers tactics being exposed? All the guff about this being a season of "transition" and we should just suck it up is delusional! If this run of results continue, we will soon be down in the bottom quarter of the league. And don't give me the story that there are 3 worse teams than us. On current form there are only 2. Can't see us getting a result against the Hammers at home. And that is really galling. Now, now...you sound like a Dalek.
Pamplemousse Posted 1 February, 2017 Posted 1 February, 2017 We have lost 5 out of 6 maybe you need a bit of realism and balance? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Why ignore the two Liverpool wins? Why don't they count?

You could not be more deluded. We'll still finish in the top half. There is no way we will be involved in any sort of relegation battle.
Toadhall Saint Posted 1 February, 2017 Posted 1 February, 2017 (edited) We'll beat them easily, like we did against Leicester Not very often a team beats another team home and away - just saying like Edited 1 February, 2017 by Toadhall Saint
VectisSaint Posted 1 February, 2017 Posted 1 February, 2017 You could not be more deluded. We'll still finish in the top half. There is no way we will be involved in any sort of relegation battle. No one thought we would be involved in a relegation battle in 1973/4 either. While the gap is less than 10 points it remains a possibility. 5 defeats in 6 league games is relegation form.
Saint Albert Posted 1 February, 2017 Posted 1 February, 2017 West Ham are a bang average side. Hopefully Puel is preparing the team for Snodgrass playing it in to Carroll. If I remember correctly Snodgrass set up both goals against us at Hull from free kicks.
Saint Benali Posted 2 February, 2017 Posted 2 February, 2017 Why ignore the two Liverpool wins? Why don't they count? Because they were not league games? By your logic should we include the Arsenal game too then? After all didn't we rest everyone so they would be fresh for Swansea? That didn't turn out too well did it? I hope you are right and we do beat them. But I can't see it.

We named our strongest possible team for the Liverpool game. We named a reserve team against Arsenal. Our home form has been fine this season, it's on the road where we need to start picking up points.
LeBizzier69 Posted 2 February, 2017 Posted 2 February, 2017 Andy Carroll is bound to score, so we'll need at least 2 to win it.
doddisalegend Posted 2 February, 2017 Posted 2 February, 2017 Looking on KUMB it seems like both saints and WHU fan are very pessimistic about their teams these days. Both sets of fans suffering from having good league seasons, when some of the big boys had an off season, and now struggling to adjust to the fact that we are actually both pretty bang average? Still in the spirit of things we'll lose to a Carroll goal before he gets injured celebrating and doesn't play again this season having got his obligatory goal against saints.

Hardly fine in my book.

Would be the same Watford that just beat Arsenal and the Westbrom that are having their best season in years..... Sunderland I'll give you they are turd....
AK Posted 2 February, 2017 Posted 2 February, 2017 Our failure to beat Arsenal reserves and Hapoel at home put us out of two cups , in the league we've won 5 out of 10 at home.
Wade Garrett Posted 2 February, 2017 Posted 2 February, 2017 With our problems at CB, we could put Bertrand in a back 3 and go 3-5-2 which could go to a 5-4-1 when we don't have the ball. Cedric and McQueen at wing-backs. Koeman did it last year when we were struggling a bit, and it turned our season.
sandwichsaint Posted 2 February, 2017 Posted 2 February, 2017 Our failure to beat Arsenal reserves and Hapoel at home put us out of two cups , in the league we've won 5 out of 10 at home. Actually it's 5 out of 11 P11 W5 D3 L3 F13 A11 Pts18: Pts per game c1.6 which equals 31 points from a full 19 games. Beaten: Swans / Burnley / Everton / Midds / Leic Drawn: Watford / Sunderland / L'pool Lost: Chelsea / Spurs / West Brom
Causer Posted 2 February, 2017 Posted 2 February, 2017 Think we should ditch the 4-3-3 and start with same team we ended the game against Swansea with Boufal starting centrally we looked far more effective. I like McQueen further forward as well. Forster Cedric Stephens Yoshida Bertrand Romeu Davis/JWP Sims Boufal McQueen Long

Saint Fan CaM Posted 2 February, 2017 Posted 2 February, 2017 Crazy to think that any team in the Prem right now could not hurt us - overall we have a very average Championship level central defensive pairing in front of a 6'7" statue. The only saving grace is Romeu but if he gets drawn away to compensate for Clasie/Hojberg we will be hugely exposed. Watch the crosses reign in from Snodgrass, watch Carroll fall over at every touch, watch Snodgrass score from the deadball - that'll be their game plan. I hope Buefal and Gabba play - we might see something different to the dross we've been dished up. 0-2 loss is what I'm thinking. Thanks for nothing Les.
