SuperSAINT Posted 31 January, 2017 Posted 31 January, 2017 Not sure I approve of deadline day without Natalie Sawyer. This is true.
OttawaSaint Posted 31 January, 2017 Posted 31 January, 2017 (edited) As things stand' date=' Les Reed is like the cr*p darts player on Bullseye: "centre back you've asked for, goalie you've got..."[/quote'] Maybe he will get to say "look at what you coulda won" to Man yoo. Matthew Le God Posted 31 January, 2017 Posted 31 January, 2017 8 years under Liebherr and the club has done relatively little wrong to warrant criticising them. But if we don't sign a new centre back tonight (not looking likely at the moment!) then they have ****ed up big time.
rickylambert Posted 31 January, 2017 Posted 31 January, 2017 Don't the media team say that s it for tonight when there is nothing left to announce? That is the case and what most Saints fans are probably holding onto...

Barry the Badger Posted 31 January, 2017 Posted 31 January, 2017 20 minutes to win a cup/stay up Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Lol. Yes, both of those things depend entirely on a centre back signing.
Greenridge Posted 31 January, 2017 Posted 31 January, 2017 I'm sure we'll still be 9th come the 11pm deadline whether we sign a CB or not.
James Posted 31 January, 2017 Posted 31 January, 2017 Lol. Yes, both of those things depend entirely on a centre back signing. If Yoshida gets injured then it will. Gardos and Stephens for any prolonged period...gulp...
Hamilton Saint Posted 31 January, 2017 Posted 31 January, 2017 I'm sure we'll still be 9th come the 11pm deadline whether we sign a CB or not. 12th?
S-Clarke Posted 31 January, 2017 Posted 31 January, 2017 How we've failed to get Sakho over the line - on a loan deal - is beyond me. Mega fail.

Appy Posted 31 January, 2017 Posted 31 January, 2017 How we've failed to get Sakho over the line - on a loan deal - is beyond me. Mega fail. 2 million loan fee and they're paying all his wages is probably why.
Barry the Badger Posted 31 January, 2017 Posted 31 January, 2017 If Yoshida gets injured then it will. Gardos and Stephens for any prolonged period...gulp... We'd be fine.
DT Posted 31 January, 2017 Posted 31 January, 2017 2 million loan fee and they're paying all his wages is probably why. Significantly cheaper than relegation Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
ErwinK1961 Posted 31 January, 2017 Posted 31 January, 2017 I'm genuinely stunned. Is this really mlg criticising the club??? Jesus. We are fecked!
fish fingers Posted 31 January, 2017 Posted 31 January, 2017 How we've failed to get Sakho over the line - on a loan deal - is beyond me. Mega fail. 2m fee plus all his wages is why and rightly so.
Pat from Poole Posted 31 January, 2017 Posted 31 January, 2017 I would suggest that they have lost the black box.
sotonjoe Posted 31 January, 2017 Posted 31 January, 2017 How we've failed to get Sakho over the line - on a loan deal - is beyond me. Mega fail. Have you considered that he might have not wanted to come here?
a1ex2001 Posted 31 January, 2017 Posted 31 January, 2017 2 million loan fee and they're paying all his wages is probably why. Ouch but surely we didn't bank on Liverpool getting desperate on deadline day!
DT Posted 31 January, 2017 Posted 31 January, 2017 We'd be fine. Are you actually Les? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Seen little need to do so in the past, but today has really annoyed me!
SKD Posted 31 January, 2017 Posted 31 January, 2017 2m fee plus all his wages is why and rightly so. £2m and 100k a week yet it would give us a much better chance of winning a cup
S-Clarke Posted 31 January, 2017 Posted 31 January, 2017 Have you considered that he might have not wanted to come here? Apparently he did. Personally, I'd have spent out on him rather than Manolo if it was a choice between the two. I think CB is the biggest issue for us.
Shance Posted 31 January, 2017 Posted 31 January, 2017 (edited) If we don't sign a CB than that is absolutely amateur from our board. We've lost our CB pair and are relying on a 19 year old kid to pull us out of the ****. If Yoshida or Stephens get an injury then we are ****ed. Absolute joke! Edited 31 January, 2017 by Shance
Lighthouse Posted 31 January, 2017 Posted 31 January, 2017 How we've failed to get Sakho over the line - on a loan deal - is beyond me. Mega fail. Because they're chucking silly amounts of money at loaning a distinctly average player.
a1ex2001 Posted 31 January, 2017 Posted 31 January, 2017 Have you considered that he might have not wanted to come here? Lol if he was willing to go to palace he would have been willing to come here surely this is clearly a money thing and the club won't get taken for a ride.
S-Clarke Posted 31 January, 2017 Posted 31 January, 2017 If we don't sign a CB than that is absolutely amateur from our board. We've lost our CB pair and are relying on a 19 year old kid to pull us out of the ****. If Yoshida or Stephens get an injury then we are ****ing. Absolute joke! It's alright, we've got Gardos.
CB Fry Posted 31 January, 2017 Posted 31 January, 2017 Sakho never seemed like the kind of signing we make (and feels exactly like a Big Sam signing) so not massively fussed about him per se, but am really rather very fussed if we don't sign a CB at all.
SuperSAINT Posted 31 January, 2017 Posted 31 January, 2017 Apparently he did. Personally, I'd have spent out on him rather than Manolo if it was a choice between the two. I think CB is the biggest issue for us. 100% agree. Yoshida / Gardos / Stephens as only centre-backs is a joke.
Matty's Caddy Posted 31 January, 2017 Posted 31 January, 2017 I reckon van dyke isn't as bad as we're being led to believe, hence, no new CB
Shance Posted 31 January, 2017 Posted 31 January, 2017 Have you considered that he might have not wanted to come here? He did though, we just buckled at the wages and loan fee but at the end of the day, he would have been a top signing for us and COULD have been the difference between relegation and winning a cup or not. Amateur hour from us.
DT Posted 31 January, 2017 Posted 31 January, 2017 It's okay. There's eight minutes left. All is not lost Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Saints foreva Posted 31 January, 2017 Posted 31 January, 2017 Someone would have picked up on it if we were closing in on a new CB. Les Reed is full of ****.
hypochondriac Posted 31 January, 2017 Posted 31 January, 2017 I reckon van dyke isn't as bad as we're being led to believe' date=' hence, no new CB[/quote'] We needed a new cb even without the vvd injury.
Wrensup Posted 31 January, 2017 Posted 31 January, 2017 Oh my god... We really ain't buying a CB are we!
Barry the Badger Posted 31 January, 2017 Posted 31 January, 2017 Did you watch the Arsenal game? Is that your evidence? Gardos' first fans in how long? And how many games has Stephens played. They would clearly get a lot better very quickly. It amazes me that people still don't understand form.
S-Clarke Posted 31 January, 2017 Posted 31 January, 2017 Yes, if anything with the VVD injury we needed two CB's. 1 CB is still one too short, as I don't believe Gardos should be anywhere near - but that's just my opinion.
Lighthouse Posted 31 January, 2017 Posted 31 January, 2017 If we don't sign a CB than that is absolutely amateur from our board. I agree we need to replace Fonte but talking as if we're playing the rest of the season with JS and FG is a bit dramatic.
AK Posted 31 January, 2017 Posted 31 January, 2017 I reckon van dyke isn't as bad as we're being led to believe' date=' hence, no new CB[/quote'] We still need someone to replace Fonte.
Heisenberg Posted 31 January, 2017 Posted 31 January, 2017 Looks like the Russians have hacked MLG MLG is like your mate that looks at the Where's Wally book and says hes not there. You convince him to keep looking and eventually they find Wally The penny just takes a little longer to drop for some
Shance Posted 31 January, 2017 Posted 31 January, 2017 Van Dijk hasn't been shot guys, he's not a horse. I agree we need to replace Fonte but talking as if we're playing the rest of the season with JS and FG is a bit dramatic. It's obvious he's out for a little while but even so, Fonte needed replacing. We are very light at the back even without another injury, with one we are ****ed.
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 31 January, 2017 Author Posted 31 January, 2017 Apparently made a last minute loan move for Jordi Amat at Swansea. #Desperate
