beatlesaint Posted 28 January, 2017 Share Posted 28 January, 2017 After this coming week there should be no reason to rotate the squad and Puel must play his strongest team every single match. We have just League matches at mostly a rate of one a week, we have a 15 day rest before the EFL Cup which may prove to be too long so there is absolutely no excuse to carry on with 5,6,7 changes every match. It will be interesting to see what happens from now on.....

I didn't go today a) because my seat n/a b) knew he would play a disjointed 11, c) Arsenal would hammer us, d) save £50. Game over, move on, PIDTE, obvious what would happen, enjoy the next few weeks and months!!

Lord Duckhunter Posted 29 January, 2017 Share Posted 29 January, 2017 (edited) What happens if a players 50/50 , could prob get through the game but isn't really fit. Surely you leave them out rather than taking a chance that they miss the final. If VvD is going to be out I wouldn't have any problem with him leaving Yoshida out of the game prior to the final as a precaution. What if the fitness team say Gardos needs 2 first team games to be able to do a job from the bench. Does Puel say **** off ,I'll take the chance that his second appearance in 2 years is during our most important game for 14 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edited 29 January, 2017 by Lord Duckhunter

Would you not play Yoshida before the final in case he got injured?
Lord Duckhunter Posted 29 January, 2017 Share Posted 29 January, 2017 There is a balance to be struck. Would you not play Yoshida before the final in case he got injured? No I'd take the advise of my medical team . If they felt he needed a rest I'd do that , if he was carrying s small knock I'd leave him out. If we only had him Gardos & Stephens and he was fit up to the game before the final , i prob would leave him out . He wouldn't be match-fit for the final.

Lord Duckhunter Posted 29 January, 2017 Share Posted 29 January, 2017 You won't lose match fitness mid season by having 2 weeks off. Particularly if you're a centre half . Anyway that's why we pay a medical team and a manager ,whatever they decide is OK by me Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You can bet your boots that nobody will be calling in sick during the last week.
