adrian lord Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 Do you ever post anything remotely sensible Do you ever post anything remotely about football?
wessex saint Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 Has their keeper had to make a save yet? genuinely asking. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
badgerx16 Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 Realistically we were unlikely to progress all the way in this cup. Some on here will slate you for suggesting that.
St.Patrik Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 I don't understand why they keep making crosses into the box when are players are like 1.70cm long instead of keeping the ball with pace on the ground?
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 Are you really going to carry on as you were? Aren't you on probation? Not sure I understand you i was banned for retaliation abuse not posting silly things as if this was the case this place would be empty
5string Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 So if you play tennis a have a gruelling match for 4/5 hours you are not given a rest for 5/6 days you have to play te day after! Completely different sports on completely different surfaces (type and size), requiring completely different physical conditions from the participants. For starters, tennis players don't have the opponent kicking, pushing and elbowing them as they're chasing for the ball. Not the best comparison.
Pamplemousse Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 When we play Arsenal in the league again, you can guarantee we won't lose 4-0
Saint Albert Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 It's hard to say given that we have conceded 4, but Gardos looks alright.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 Sims looks very good amongst the mess Do you ever post anything remotely about football? Hth
James Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 We now have the perfect line for those on here , any poor performance can be brushed aside with we beat Liverpool and are going to Wembley. It's already replaced the "we're 9th in the league" and "10th in the league" excuses that seem to have been spent now we're in the bottom half. To be fair, its a monumental achievement for a club like us and so our players and squad do deserve an amount of leeway because of that. The League Cup has, without doubt, saved our season but IMO it shouldn't give us a free pass to play poorly for the rest of the season even if we were to win the cup.
doddisalegend Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 I tell you what if Romeu gets injured we are ****ed. Reed isn't the answer we really need another decent holding midfielder. The midfield shield today has had all the protection of a ripped condom..
badgerx16 Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 It's hard to say given that we have conceded 4, but Gardos looks alright. Agreed.
saintroyt Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 What's tennis got to do with anything? I'm talking about real sport The players are sports men on huge wages and with talent so why leave them on the bench at the expense of the paying fan
Ohio Saint Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 Of course we were never going to win the FA cup, but it would have been nice to have tried.
Saint Benali Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 we have a paper thin squad, for me I want the best team possible for Wembley. Central defence is where we cant afford any more injuries. Realistically we were unlikely to progress all the way in this cup. We need players back to fitness I wonder if Lincoln, Wolves, Oxford etc thought that too?
James Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 Of course we were never going to win the FA cup, but it would have been nice to have tried. If we had taken the same attitude in the League Cup we wouldn't be in the final would we? A stronger team could have tested this Arsenal side.
washsaint Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 I tell you what if Romeu gets injured we are ****ed. Reed isn't the answer we really need another decent holding midfielder. The midfield shield today has had all the protection of a ripped condom.. Agreed - Reed has not really kicked on like I Hoped he would. Reed and Clasie have been very poor - but then so have pretty much everyone.
saintwbu Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 I tell you what if Romeu gets injured we are ****ed. Reed isn't the answer we really need another decent holding midfielder. The midfield shield today has had all the protection of a ripped condom.. Absolutely. For all the demand for a striker and CB, that's more of a lack of bodies, whereas our midfield has a serious lack of quality (Romeu aside).

The midfield shield today has had all the protection of a ripped condom.. Yes and an innocuous incident like the one that did for VVD could put him out for the season. We are playing a very risky game with injuries. It's clearly question of minimum possible investment in the squad until the Chinese come in. Oh, 5-0. Embarrassing.
James Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 This really is going to crush the confidence of our younger defenders and young keeper. Poor decision from Claude here.
Suhari Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 (edited) Poor goalkeeping. Nice to see our academy products playing well and scoring though. Edited 28 January, 2017 by Suhari
5string Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 Very rarely do I ever stop watching a match before the end. Stopped watching now - can't stand this. See ya.
St Marco Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 Maybe I'm just dumb but the whole save players from injury thing doesn't make much sense to me. We have what 5 games until then? Can players not get injured in those ones? Or is Puel going to make them play in zorbs?
badgerx16 Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 The decision making part of Martina's brain is about 3 seconds behind where it needs to be to keep up with the game.
doddisalegend Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 Absolutely. For all the demand for a striker and CB, that's more of a lack of bodies, whereas our midfield has a serious lack of quality (Romeu aside). Davis is quality tbf. But I've been saying for ages we need another DM we have nothing begin Romeu.
saint97 Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 Bloody disgraceful peformance. May as well not have a keeper in goal
saintwbu Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 Højbjerg is our answer to John Stones. A player that everyone goes 'but he definitely WILL be brilliant one day' to avoid saying he just really isn't that good. In fact, i'd say he's absolutely ****.
Mr X Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 What a joke puel doesn't even look worried, he planned for this result!! Thrown the towel in from the beginning... Fuming! Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
Ohio Saint Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 Truly shocking. given the selection, its the opposite of shocking

Can players not get injured in those ones? Or is Puel going to make them play in zorbs? The starting 11 from today will be starting all games until the final to save our best players from injury.

Has fallen off a cliff since the start of the season.
washsaint Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 I feel sorry for Lewis - hung out to dry. Absolutely nothing in front of him and no central midfield to speak of. Abysmal performance and abysmal management by Puel. We have real problems - if we lose VVD in the summer I dread to think what we will be like next season.

aintforever Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 So if you play tennis a have a gruelling match for 4/5 hours you are not given a rest for 5/6 days you have to play te day after! True, but so has your opponent. If they had the choice of a few days rest they would take it. I don't get why we are prioritising the league though, we won't qualify for Europe and it's unlikely we will go down. I guess with the money at stake, clubs nowadays don't want to take any risk at all of relegation.
Ohio Saint Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 I feel sorry for Lewis - hung out to dry. Absolutely nothing in front of him and no central midfield to speak of. agreed
del boy Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 Arsenal finishing strongly - think they might nick this one
geoffnut Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 Shocking performance from our team, just not a fair effort for our wonderful fans. Puel, like many managers, does not give a damn about the FA cup.
wessex saint Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 The good news is I put 20 quid on arsenal once I saw the line ups. Walcott is also in my fantasy team. In other news, all the positivity from Wednesday has been blown away by the bizarre rotation tonight. Baffling. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
BotleySaint Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 I think I'll save the meltdown until February when we don't sign anyone in the transfer window (as we all secretly suspect but hope not!)

doddisalegend Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 Bloody disgraceful peformance. May as well not have a keeper in goal Probably destroyed his confidence. I mean surely its better to play him with a solid experienced defence in front of him to put him in goal with this defence in front of him is ****ing unfair really.

It could effectively end his career, poor lad.
