Bakovnetski Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 Subs now please . I really don't don't want to see the Gooners put 6 past us. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
Edmonton Saint Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 All the feelgood factor from Wednesday evaporated within 35 minutes of todays match because of a joke line up. This could be 6 or 7 the way things are going. As soon as you see the likes of Martina, Isgrove and Gardos starting you know you are in trouble. Three days left in the transfer window and still no Fonte replacement, still no striker.
Special K Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 Completely outplayed, but to be expected with the side out there today
aintforever Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 What is the point in resting the goalkeeper? They just stand there all game, a keeper could play a game every day for a month and be fine.
adrian lord Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 This reminds me of how we swept small teams aside back in league one.
SKD Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 If he'd picked the same team and we'd lost he'd have been slated anyway. Very little other options left to him. The fixtures list decongests pretty soon for us. We'll see less rotation then. How can you blame anyone but the manager for this so far Individually players haven't been good enough, but let's be serious, the majority belong in the championship.
Ohio Saint Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 Absolutely pathetic from McQueen He deserves massive leeway to make the occasional mistake.

Avenue_Saint Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 Gonna get worse unless he changes it. Yoshida, Romeu and Redmond on for isgrove, reed and stephens
obelisk Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 Not too many reserves pushing for Wembley consideration. It's pretty much a practice match for Arsenal.
washsaint Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 Disgusted with the team that has been put out. Absolutely disgusted. We may as well have just forfeited the match and refunded all the poor buggers that have paid to watch this utter ****e.
saint77 Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 Stephens is having a bit of a 'mare. Him and gardos look like a couple of rusty baked bean tins
Dalek2003 Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 We may as well have lost to Norwich, but I don't think they wanted to win the game either.
DT Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 Manager obsessed with rotation and keeping players fit without any cognisance of who the team is he puts out. Just how 'fresh' they are. Absolutely abysmal. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
redkeith Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 Martina is soo bad. Not expecting much with this team, but the midfield should be doing much better
doddisalegend Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 Jack Stephens are struggling badly. Wasting possession and side footed in defense. Its one thing to look good surrounded by quality senior players and a good goal keeper behind you. But with this defence around him he is going to be horribly exposed.
jamesfp1 Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 The result was set when the lineups were announced. Sad really as we had a perfect opportunity to build some momentum and confidence.
adrian lord Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 Gonna get worse unless he changes it. Yoshida, Romeu and Redmond on for isgrove, reed and stephens But at 0-3, it is kind of futile already, and only risking injury to key players.
scotty Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 This reminds me of how we swept small teams aside back in league one. Oddly enough, that's just what I was thinking.
obelisk Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 There really should be an option to throw in the towel. The rest of the match is just pointless.
Donatello Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 Soooooo what was the thinking with Forster? Not that we win because of Forster....I'm just not sure I see *any* sense in it.
Pass the Dutchie Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 I'm very grateful that Arsenal also are playing kids and reserves.
doddisalegend Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 But at 0-3, it is kind of futile already, and only risking injury to key players. Yep no point risking Yoshida and co on a game as good as lost already.
Ohio Saint Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 I'm really peed off right now, but looking forward, this will be our last weakened team this season apart from any league games approaching the league cup final.
BotleySaint Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 With out two best CBs injured or sold its fairly expected?
adrian lord Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 There really should be an option to throw in the towel. The rest of the match is just pointless. There should - no good can come of this game now.
Rory Peepa Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 There really should be an option to throw in the towel. The rest of the match is just pointless. We're going to get a demoralising hiding here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
saint1977 Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 Get a ****ing grip! No, you get a grip. Be an adult and admit what we can all see - Reed needs to hurry up with getting a quality CB and CF in. Proper Saints fans can see this and have been saying this for ages, even though we are delighted to be at Wembley in the EFL Cup.
doddisalegend Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 Disgusted with the team that has been put out. Absolutely disgusted. We may as well have just forfeited the match and refunded all the poor buggers that have paid to watch this utter ****e. If they get a refund will the ticket still count for the cup final....
wessex saint Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 Don't worry. We've rested players so we're guaranteed 3 Pts midweek and a couple of million extra come the end of the season. Much more important than trying to win the fa cup. [emoji17] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Saint Billy Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 Not seen such an obvious attempt to lose a game from Saints in a long time but not going to get too upset by it. Feel sorry for those who paid money to see Saints though, the team selection is clearly cheating paying punters. Exactly, if this was a boxing match there would be fekin uproar.
Saint Albert Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 I do enjoy watching Sims with the ball at his feet.
BARCELONASAINT Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 some of you really make me laugh.....I had no doubts that virtually the whole first team would be rested after Wednesdays brilliant result and effort by the players. We do not have the squad depth and hopefully in the next 72 hours we will see some incomings. We were always going to lose today after Wednesday night and i personally dont want to risk anymore first teamers being injured when we are already going to Wembley
James Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 I still can't comprehend why other teams don't make so many changes as us. You can't change 4 of your back 5 against an Arsenal team containing Welbeck, AOC and Walcott and expect to get anything other than a hiding. Don't care that we're going out but I do care that we'd just regained some confidence and are now about to get a demoralising thumping. That's not brilliant management in my book. Thrown the youngsters under the bus here.

doddisalegend Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 With out two best CBs injured or sold its fairly expected? Not really put our best team today and we could have beaten this Arsenal side ( like they did against Liverpool) and played this team against Swansea a game hardly anyone cares about.
St Marco Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 I think the commentator made a very good point. We won't finish 5th let alone above. Arsenal are going for the title and have champions league. Their weakened selection is fair enough. The fa cup isn't a priority for them. Us on the other hand have a cup final. Which is fantastic. The problem is we could lose that. Why give up on your only route into Europe beyond that? Having two chances is better than one. Very poor decision making by Puel and heeps pressure on him that was not needed.
Saint Albert Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 Well, that was a ****e half. Wednesday night made it bearable.
OldNick Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 This game means sweet FA,,,,do you see what I did there? It would be a message to the Board that our squad is not good enough
DT Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 That was utter tripe. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

jasonb Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 I'll retire to the kitchen and start dinner then. Exactly what I did mush. On my third beer, now the pizza's have been prepared.
Oldeuboi Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 Wonder which would've got a worse reaction? Putting out a second string side at Anfield, or playing a weaker team today? People wanting their cake and to eat it too. It's not like we're losing to some lower division side.

I'm more concerned about the effect that a thumping might have on players like Stephens, McQueen and Sims. Not really fair to field such a weak team. We were not going to get anything other than a hiding with that team out.
