Cricketphilly Posted 27 January, 2017 Posted 27 January, 2017 I'll play Devil's advocate then. Best centre half in the league not getting a game. Who fancies a loan deal?
Colinjb Posted 27 January, 2017 Posted 27 January, 2017 No. The total antithesis of the kind of player we should be going for.
Cricketphilly Posted 27 January, 2017 Author Posted 27 January, 2017 No. The total antithesis of the kind of player we should be going for. Half season loan as we are thin on the ground Colin?
spyinthesky Posted 27 January, 2017 Posted 27 January, 2017 Indeed Beggars Cant Be Choosers the injury situation we are in!!
VectisSaint Posted 27 January, 2017 Posted 27 January, 2017 Best centre half in the league not getting a game. Is injured. What we need is someone to cover for him.
igsey Posted 27 January, 2017 Posted 27 January, 2017 Possibly the least Southampton-like signing we could make.
OldNick Posted 27 January, 2017 Posted 27 January, 2017 I have rated Sam Hutchinson from Sheff Wed. Similar in stature (not very tall)and full blooded and brave from what I have seen of him
Colinjb Posted 27 January, 2017 Posted 27 January, 2017 Half season loan as we are thin on the ground Colin? No. Not for John Terry. A character as 'controversial' as his could do more harm then good as a role model for our younger players. With Gardos returning as back-up, Stephens clearly worthy of a run in the team and Yoshida stepping up to his responsibility I would only consider a replacement signing for Fonte who fits our usual profile then a short term idea like him.
SNSUN Posted 27 January, 2017 Posted 27 January, 2017 John Terry? Absolutely yes... If the choice were between him and, say, Oliver Lancashire. I'd marginally rather have Jagielka over Terry if we were talking about geriatric old duffers. We can do better than both.
Give it to Ron Posted 27 January, 2017 Posted 27 January, 2017 John Terry has already said he is going nowhere and staying at Chelsea.
IOWSaintDaz Posted 27 January, 2017 Posted 27 January, 2017 I'd go for Harry Maguire of Hull City he's only 23 and has bags of potential, looking for a move too after turning down a new deal
Marsdinho Posted 27 January, 2017 Posted 27 January, 2017 He WAS probably ONCE the best defender in the league, there is a reason why he isnt getting games at Chelsea. He's lost all his pace, modern day pacey forwards will rip him to shreds.

the saint in winchester Posted 27 January, 2017 Posted 27 January, 2017 John Terry has already said he is going nowhere and staying at Chelsea. This. Discussion is irrelevant, when he prefers to stay at Chelsea on his current wage, whether he plays or not.
Mowgli Posted 27 January, 2017 Posted 27 January, 2017 He'd only want to appear in all the cup final pictures...

Batman Posted 27 January, 2017 Posted 27 January, 2017 I'll play Devil's advocate then. Best centre half in the league not getting a game. Who fancies a loan deal? are you on crack? no way would we want him here
CB Fry Posted 27 January, 2017 Posted 27 January, 2017 I miss the suggestion of James Beattie and Wayne Bridge every fu cking window for years.
Dublin Saint Posted 27 January, 2017 Posted 27 January, 2017 I'd go for Harry Maguire of Hull City he's only 23 and has bags of potential, looking for a move too after turning down a new deal This He looks really quality and would fit right in with us.
Snopper Posted 28 January, 2017 Posted 28 January, 2017 I'd rather Ivanovic than Terry. I`d rather have anyone but Terry.
