billagar Posted 26 January, 2017 Share Posted 26 January, 2017 I don't think the club could or would create a yellow kit for the final. However, it would be wonderful if we all turned out in Yellow. A lot more fun then wearing black. Who's in?
Bad Wolf Posted 26 January, 2017 Share Posted 26 January, 2017 No. This isn't 1976. This is 2017. And our boys have done us proud wearing this season's kits not 1976. I'd find it incredibly disrespectful to prioritise Saints' past over Saints' present which is essentially what that would be doing.

What was lucky in 1976 may not be lucky in 2017. Yellow hasn't got us the the final this time around. Luck runs in periods of time just as does bad luck. Shance Posted 27 January, 2017 Share Posted 27 January, 2017 I like the black kit and hope we play in it but I would love our away kit next season to be Yellow. Love the yellow away kits, they look really smart imo.

alehouseboys Posted 27 January, 2017 Share Posted 27 January, 2017 In 1976 when we wore red and white stripes we sang "Come On You Reds", when we wore yellow, as at Wembley, we sang "Come On You Yeeellllooowwss". Nowadays, when we play in red we sing "Come On You Reds", when the home team plays in red and we change kit to black/white/green/etc. some of our fans sing "Come On You....Reds". Bit thick really, maybe time to start singing "Come On You Saints"?
Daft Kerplunk Posted 27 January, 2017 Share Posted 27 January, 2017 How many major finals have we lost wearing yellow? It's two since winning one. Not a lucky colour really
alpine_saint Posted 27 January, 2017 Share Posted 27 January, 2017 Away kit next season should be yellow, but I do not endorse creating one for the final.

Baird of the land Posted 27 January, 2017 Share Posted 27 January, 2017 I'm curious is there a coin toss that decides who changes kit?
mrfahaji Posted 27 January, 2017 Share Posted 27 January, 2017 We have a 100% record at the new Wembley playing in red & white stripes.
Dangermouth Posted 27 January, 2017 Share Posted 27 January, 2017 How about the kit we had at Bompey? Best idea yet. As long as JRod gets at least two, too.
Miltonaggro Posted 27 January, 2017 Share Posted 27 January, 2017 How about the kit we had at Bompey? That would be good, the Hampshire Real Madrid!
DuncanRG Posted 27 January, 2017 Share Posted 27 January, 2017 It would be good to make half of Wembley yellow but I'm not that fussed.
saint si Posted 27 January, 2017 Share Posted 27 January, 2017 I'm curious is there a coin toss that decides who changes kit? Might just be the order the ties were drawn in the semi final?
Saint_Ash Posted 27 January, 2017 Share Posted 27 January, 2017 I thought this was about how many players were on yellows and might miss the final through suspension if they pick up any more. Kit wise I'm happy with whatever as long as we win in it.
doddisalegend Posted 27 January, 2017 Share Posted 27 January, 2017 In this day age the team wearing black is problem if we start chanting black army or blacks, blacks, blacks we will all probably be charged with a hate crime....
saint-matt Posted 27 January, 2017 Share Posted 27 January, 2017 Supporters wearing yellow will be more visible than those wearing black. Just thinking of the visual impact at our section of Wembley. Would be impressive to make Wembley look like Cardiff which would stand out more yellow and blue than black and grey, from a fans perspective. kitch Posted 30 January, 2017 Share Posted 30 January, 2017 Luck doesn't come into it. Luck is just a method humans have devised to decipher past events and their relative desirability. It's man-made, in our minds. I think we should be looking to the future, not the past.

DuncanRG Posted 31 January, 2017 Share Posted 31 January, 2017 (edited) So we're wearing the white kit after all, apparently at the players' request. Still not for sale, but home shirts reduced to £30 for adults and £20 for kids. Wonder how many have already shelled out for the black kit especially for Wembley...
