as reported on the championship now....

21 league manager have lost their jobs since the start of the season, virtually 1 manager per week....

if JP can last until the end of the season we can officially call him 'one of the most experienced managers in the league';-)

********. I take it this means i've missed the highlights?

No, I dont think so as they started off with Charlton V Forest. Followed by a rubbish feature on Nigel Clough.

Who gives a toss as its supposed to be a football highlight show.

Showing the Reading match at present.

Saints havent been on yet,for what it is usually worth, length of coverage wise that is.

The Championship is a joke.

Even with a shed load of matches called off you'd think they'd even out the coverage of remaining matches.

I hate itv's football coverage. Its always been a love in with manuare and a case of sticking a finger up in the air and seeing which way the wind is blowing.

They spent more time interviewing Clough on a game that didn't go ahead than they spent on our game.

It's ridiculous, just like their **** poor FA cup highlights where Forest - City got about 30 seconds and the Liverpool game which had been on ITV 3 hours earlier got 20 minutes.

ITV are ****.

the facts are nobody is interested in anything outside of the premiership, the money is not there, which is a shame because i think im right in saying that in terms of crowd numbers the championship is the second most watched league in the world?,i could be wrong but im sure this is the case.

Fourth in Europe, I believe, behind the Premiership, the Bundesliga and La Liga

Last seasons averages were:

1) Bundesliga (Ger)--------39,426

2) Premier League (Eng)---36,076

3) la Liga (Sp)------------29,194

4) Serie A (It)------------23,180

5) Orange Ligue (Fr)------21,840

6) Eredivisie (Ne)---------18,732

7) Bundesliga II (Ger)-----18,140

8) Championship (Eng)----17,022

I'm sure at one point the Championship was 4th, but maybe some of the bigger Clubs previously down here have gone elsewhere (Sunderland, Leeds???)

Yes, as Um says, it will depend largely on who's in the CC.

Leeds, Forest and Leicester, for example or Colchester, S****horpe and Southend!

yes it was a few years ago i read it somewhere, think it may have even been our first season in the championship?...the old memorys not what it used to be:-) (usually the excuse i use on our wedding anniversary, birthdays, nights out on the p1ss etc ;-))

Must have been the season before last then, definitely remember CCC attendances being higher then Serie A at some point.

At one point I'm sure it was 4th (behind Bundesliga, Prem & La Liga), and it may have been above Serie A when Juventus went down or as i say when a couple of bigger teams were in our dvision (Leeds, Sunderland, Forest etc) as opposed to some of the smaller teams (no offence).

Pretty much sums up my opinion. Why ITV get to televise league sport at all [well, pretty much any sport] remains a mystery. They will eventually marginalise any sport. They are not a public service channel, and so they will concentrate on the big ratings, and that means select teams. The BBC, will always try to balance their coverage, which means that next season's Championship programme should be a big improvement on the crap served up by ITV.

I think you're right UM, I even think we were above Serie A, not sure if that was the year Juventus were in Serie B which would have effected the average as well i'm sure.

Was the 'fourth most watched league' term coined from the number of people that saw games in that division across a whole season, rather than just club averages.

So of course the CCC was going to do well cos there in more games than in most European Leagues. Could be wrong with that though.
