Franny Benali - Queen's Honour

Franny was on Fantasy Football Club on Sky this week. Having talked about his charity efforts, Paul Merson said something sensible / intelligent / interesting !

 

What he said was, "if the Queen's watching, this guy deserves an MBE". Thinking about it, he's probably right. He's not a big celebrity really but he's raised about £400k for charity by putting himself through the mill.

I would happily back him for this. Just a shame so many professional players/clubs didn't back his cause financially. I realise that they must be asked every 5 seconds for a donation, but I thought that they could have done a little more.

He's 100% right. Insane if you look at some of the people on the honour's list in comparison.
