SaintBobby Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 Oh well, we will win the replay. He says with utterly no confidence whatsoever.
Batman Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 The genius of Puel continues!! let me be the first to say it, WE LOST THERE LAST SEASON
whelk Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 Well luckily I couldn't watch it..... Cannot remember the last game that I haven't watched live. Weird experience nowadays
Katalinic Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 Typical Saints. Unless they pay fans to go I can't see many bothering with the replay zzzz
Lighthouse Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 Why do we still have replays in this competition. Like anybody wants to watch 3 hours plus of teams like Saints and Norwich reserves. Meh, whatever.
badgerx16 Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 We scored 2 and didn't lose - progress on both counts.
Pamplemousse Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 Haven't won a 3rd round cup match and the first attempt for ages. Drew 1-1 at home to Ipswich, lost in Round 3 last season and a draw today Not the end of the world, but a shame we couldn't see the game out. Liverpool should be fun...
washsaint Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 Massive overhaul of midfield and attack needed. Just not good enough.......midfield doesn't score, strike force don't score. Only our defenders can put the ball in the net. We can blame Puel for a lot but he has been dealt a crap hand by having midfielders who can't score and strikers who can't score. Long is abysmal this year. And that is not his fault.
OttawaSaint Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 The genius of Puel continues!! let me be the first to say it, WE LOST THERE LAST SEASON 6 shots on target, 11 corners.
Mr Saints Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 No surpise at all. Distinct lack of leadership on the pitch and on the touchline
whelk Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 Typical Saints. Unless they pay fans to go I can't see many bothering with the replay zzzz I'll be there. Some of us aren't just there in fair weather

Whitey Grandad Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 Why do we still have replays in this competition. Like anybody wants to watch 3 hours plus of teams like Saints and Norwich reserves. Meh, whatever. I'm looking forward to another home game There's no rule that says we have to play boring football with a teamload of reserves.
Heisenberg Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 More excuses to continue the relentless rotation nonsense Blew it!
James Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 Another disappointing game. Could even beat a Championship side with a decent side out so what hope against Liverpool? Absolutely no desire to attend the replay.
Pamplemousse Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 Massive overhaul of midfield and attack needed. We definitely need an attacking midfielder. All of our midfielders are too conservative.
Saint86 Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 Honestly. Les Reed and Claude Puel are driving this club into the ground. Its horrendous now. Both need to go ASAP.
Saint Albert Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 According to Dave and Big Adam, Saints bossed the game and again fail to pull out a win. I'm a little concerned about our defending at set pieces, and we do seem to have problems defending a lead, lately. Still, it's a home replay against Norwich so it's not the end of the world. We certainly got a better result than Bournemouth...
SNSUN Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 This my Norwich-supporting wife's birthday today, and that's her present sorted. A replay is a worse result than a loss. An extra game is what we didn't need. Still in it though, I guess. Might think differently in May if we're at Wembley.
Whitey Grandad Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 Of course, if they don't open the Kingsland I and many others won't be going.
James Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 Haven't won a 3rd round cup match and the first attempt for ages. Drew 1-1 at home to Ipswich, lost in Round 3 last season and a draw today Not the end of the world, but a shame we couldn't see the game out. Liverpool should be fun... I fear that Liverpool will be a bloodbath. Hope I'm wrong.
Jonnyboy Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 The genius of Puel continues!! let me be the first to say it, WE LOST THERE LAST SEASON Are you OK?
Badger Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 (edited) Useless bunch of c^nts. No backbone, or mental strength when it matters. Other teams come to SMS and effectively 'park the bus' for 90 minutes and shut us out, we can't see out 4 minutes to half time at home to WBA or see out the injury time against Norwich. whelk Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 Honestly. Les Reed and Claude Puel are driving this club into the ground. Its horrendous now. Both need to go ASAP. Lol - driving into the ground they are. Fcking moron
Lord Duckhunter Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 Only our defenders can put the ball in the net. Shame they can't defend Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
St Marco Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 Can only go off what they said on radio but seems quite a few had bad games notably jwp again. Defend like that against Liverpool and we will get destroyed.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 More opportunities to have some more hysterical and perhaps creative *****ing
BotleySaint Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 Useless bunch of c^nts. No backbone, or mental strength when it matters. No confidence but then who can blame them after 3 defeats in a row. At least we didn't lose.
Sheaf Saint Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 Is it really asking too much to expect our forward players to stick the ball in the f*cking net from time to time?
5string Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 Well luckily I couldn't watch it..... Match of the Day could be a blast. Ah well, another slight disappointment in a season of 'could've-beens'. Home replay, should win. Should...
ScepticalStan Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 I'll be there. Some of us aren't just there in fair weather Tinpot trophy. I won't be going.
washsaint Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 Batman - why don't you f**k off and support Swansea, Palace, Stoke or Everton....you know those teams you said we should be trying to emulate? When was the last time you had anything positive to say about Saints. Can you not see that this is not all down to Puel? He has been dealt a crap hand by having players who have reverted to crap (Long and JWP amongst them) and we badly, really badly, need attacking reinforcements that might actually be able to play better than Sunday League players. When he has some of his players in then we can judge Puel more fully. Yes this season has been dull as so far - but sounds like they played better (more attacking) than recently which is a positive.
Saints foreva Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 The defending has gone to **** since Palace smashed us.
Pamplemousse Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 Remember when we only drew 1-1 at home to Ipswich with basically a first 11 starting?
whelk Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 Tinpot trophy. I won't be going. You never go I'll wager
Greenridge Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 I'll be there. Some of us aren't just there in fair weather Thankfully all clubs have die-hards who will go through thick and thin but the commercial need for Saints, and all clubs, is to get additional support. Unless we turn things around then crowds will start slipping for sure. I would expect a pretty low crowd for this replay.
James Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 Is it really asking too much to expect our forward players to stick the ball in the f*coming net from time to time? Yet another game where Long does nothing. How much longer do we have to put up with him? Get rid I say.
a1ex2001 Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 Anyone surprised, we are a shambles at the minute time for some leadership!
Ohio Saint Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 This my Norwich-supporting wife's birthday today, and that's her present sorted. You are hoping to get an upgrade in your next marriage?
derry Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 Eventually it'll dawn on somebody it might be worth playing Rodriguez and Long. five players in front of the back four can't buy a goal yet we only play one striker mostly not down the middle. Again although I didn't see it but listened to the commentary trying to defend a lead with everybody back is a nonsense as it's impossible to clear the ball.
Lord Duckhunter Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 We were so much better last year .........When we lost at home Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
mrfahaji Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 Why do we still have replays in this competition. Like anybody wants to watch 3 hours plus of teams like Saints and Norwich reserves. Meh, whatever. They should allow teams to nominate whether they want a replay. If both teams nominate 'no', then the game is settled in ET and Pens.
hackedoff Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 Another result chucked away. Has anyone got any stats on how many goals this lot give away from back passes ?
shurlock Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 More opportunities to have some more hysterical and perhaps creative *****ing Top lad
Badger Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 No confidence but then who can blame them after 3 defeats in a row. At least we didn't lose. Perhaps this is something developed and built on from on the training ground. I've been a supporter of Puel to give him time etc, but clearly something is wrong at the club at the moment.
SNSUN Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 You are hoping to get an upgrade in your next marriage? As a lover of domestic abuse, I hope my next wife supports Portsmouth. (Joking of course! My sister doesn't favour a football team.:-))
