Pamplemousse Posted 6 January, 2017 Posted 6 January, 2017 He's not consistent enough for a top club. Hence why he's with us.
BotleySaint Posted 6 January, 2017 Posted 6 January, 2017 Bit random but maybe he's sick of the rotation policy. Would be a massive loss on top of Fonte and worrying sign of the state of things.
SuperSAINT Posted 6 January, 2017 Posted 6 January, 2017 Started off looking decent. Nose-break has set him back. Can't see too many Top 5 sides wanting him though.
Disco Stu Posted 6 January, 2017 Posted 6 January, 2017 Been pretty poor this season from what I've seen of him. I can't help but laugh.
ErwinK1961 Posted 6 January, 2017 Posted 6 January, 2017 Surprised he doesn't want to reunite with Graziano - clearly been missing him this season
John Boy Saint Posted 6 January, 2017 Posted 6 January, 2017 Better stop faffing about with the ball and flouncing like a trainee Arsene Wenger when the ref doesn't buy his feeble fall to the floor, if he wants to be at a "top 5 EPL side". Play some blistering games for us Dusan stick yourself squarely in the spotlight and them big boys will be banging on our door and your wish will come true.
Saint Garrett Posted 6 January, 2017 Posted 6 January, 2017 Not sure where he is going to go if he's going to a top 5 team, only Man Utd's team would he get into.
PeteCampbell Posted 6 January, 2017 Posted 6 January, 2017 Off to China I heard, maybe I heard it from someone who read that tweet.
angelman Posted 6 January, 2017 Posted 6 January, 2017 He's slow, doesn't know when to pull the trigger so won't be going top 5.
darren2 Posted 6 January, 2017 Posted 6 January, 2017 Not really fulfilled his potential. We're about his level
doddisalegend Posted 6 January, 2017 Posted 6 January, 2017 Started off looking decent. Nose-break has set him back. Can't see too many Top 5 sides wanting him though. pretty much I thought he started the season well but since being kicked in the head he has looked pretty poor. I always think he is one of those players that on his day is fantastic and asset to the team but if he is not on his game (which is a lot recently) the rest of the team have to carry him because he contributes nothing. I'm not sure any top five side would consider him an upgrade right now.
verlaine1979 Posted 6 January, 2017 Posted 6 January, 2017 He's not quick enough or a good enough finisher for the top five.
MOSaint Posted 6 January, 2017 Posted 6 January, 2017 He should focus on being good in a mediocre PL side before he sets sights on going to a good team.
striker Posted 6 January, 2017 Posted 6 January, 2017 I like Tadic and I think he's a good player. I like Boufal more, but I would have liked to see them on the pitch together more. With our relatively weak midfield, he will be missed.

I'm not sure any top five side would consider him an upgrade right now. Yeah. One of my concerns pre-season was that I considered Tadic & Long to be really good supplemental players for us. I suppose the hope was with Mane & Pelle leaving that they would be able to step-up but it's not really happened. Lets hope they can both go up a few gears for the 2nd half of the season.
Saint Albert Posted 6 January, 2017 Posted 6 January, 2017 He started the season well but he looks to be in one of his midwinter slumps right now. Also is developing a track record of falling out with his coaches (Serbian national team, Koeman). For a team that has scored 19 in 20, I'm not sure we can afford to let him go.
fanimal Posted 6 January, 2017 Posted 6 January, 2017 When Dusan is/was on fire he is probably our 'best' player, in terms of skill and excitement. His tenure with us has been fraught with inconsistency often following a couple of nasty injuries. And he is a good finisher too.
Lord Duckhunter Posted 6 January, 2017 Posted 6 January, 2017 He's got a great touch and is capable of some sublime play. His performance at home to City was one of the best I've had the pleasure of seeing . But he has some spells when he's woeful as he has been for most of this season. No doubt they'll be a load of pony blaming Puel , but he was the main man, the figure head at the start of the season. It looked like Puel was quite willing to build the team around him , playing him as 10 and bigging him up. The simple fact is he wasn't up to it, didn't produce . It seems he didn't like Ron digging him out , but didn't respond when Puel showed him some love. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
DuncanRG Posted 6 January, 2017 Posted 6 January, 2017 Bit random but maybe he's sick of the rotation policy. Would be a massive loss on top of Fonte and worrying sign of the state of things. Maybe he shares all the fan's grievances! That would be convenient.
SW5 SAINT Posted 6 January, 2017 Posted 6 January, 2017 One thing someone might know, do the Chinese not have to abide by FFP rules, or is it only European clubs that are ham strung by that?
GGalpin Posted 6 January, 2017 Posted 6 January, 2017 One thing someone might know, do the Chinese not have to abide by FFP rules, or is it only European clubs that are ham strung by that? They do not as it is a UEFA policy.
VectisSaint Posted 6 January, 2017 Posted 6 January, 2017 One thing someone might know, do the Chinese not have to abide by FFP rules, or is it only European clubs that are ham strung by that? Chinese not affected by FFP of course, but their spending is about to be reigned in apparently: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38524429
John Boy Saint Posted 6 January, 2017 Posted 6 January, 2017 I am not saying anything Ahem.................er you just did!
View From The Top Posted 6 January, 2017 Posted 6 January, 2017 All we need now is Bertrand to be linked to other teams in the press and I reckon we will then have a full house of the want aways.
SuperSAINT Posted 6 January, 2017 Posted 6 January, 2017 All we need now is Bertrand to be linked to other teams in the press and I reckon we will then have a full house of the want aways. The Liverpool link will resurface sob enough.
Shroppie Posted 6 January, 2017 Posted 6 January, 2017 Unless we've got a Fonte replacement in the bag, no-one will go. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk
Dusic Posted 6 January, 2017 Posted 6 January, 2017 You don't want to be losing the most creative player you currently have available, no matter how inconsistent he can be.

a1ex2001 Posted 6 January, 2017 Posted 6 January, 2017 Would be more concerned about loosing radically than fonte!
Lukee Posted 7 January, 2017 Posted 7 January, 2017 Love Tadic and he loves the club (always always claps when people cheer his name, he's very appreciative of support). Really hoping he doesn't go anywhere. He'll fine some form hopefully.
SuperSAINT Posted 25 March, 2017 Posted 25 March, 2017 Release clause of 15m euros, WTF? http://app.football-italia.net/?referrer=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.football-italia.net%2F100181%2Fjuve-and-napoli-go-tadic#article/footballitalia-100181

Pamplemousse Posted 25 March, 2017 Posted 25 March, 2017 Considering we paid £9M for him, that 15 million euros thing is very, very doubtful.
CB Fry Posted 25 March, 2017 Posted 25 March, 2017 We haven't had release clauses for anyone else so I doubt we've started with Tadic.
Shroppie Posted 25 March, 2017 Posted 25 March, 2017 I think this is no more than wishful stirring. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 25 March, 2017 Posted 25 March, 2017 Release clause of 15m euros, WTF? http://app.football-italia.net/?referrer=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.football-italia.net%2F100181%2Fjuve-and-napoli-go-tadic#article/footballitalia-100181 Looking at the list of clubs supposedly interested in him, if he were to leave, it'd have to go disastrously wrong for him to end up at West Ham. I mean what sort of mug would end up like that?
Heisenberg Posted 25 March, 2017 Posted 25 March, 2017 He might have a "gentleman's agreement" but we got another year from Morgan by renegading on his agreement Tadic probs had his chance last summer when Mane, Pelle and Wanyama left. Had 10 goals 15 assists last season (3 & 4 this) his stock has plummeted sadly
the saint in winchester Posted 26 March, 2017 Posted 26 March, 2017 Juventus and Napoli are interested in signing Southampton's 28-year-old attacking midfielder Dusan Tadic, who has a release clause of £13m. Wouldn't sell for that. £20M+

beatlesaint Posted 26 March, 2017 Posted 26 March, 2017 Problem with Tadic is that he plays when he wants to, no consistency whatsoever. Having said that there is always the chance of that killer ball that will create a chance. I just wonder if this has cropped up because he knows that Puel is going to prefer Boufal next season having paid all that money for him and that there isnt much chance of playing both in the same team given they are what used to be called "luxury" players ?
Wade Garrett Posted 26 March, 2017 Posted 26 March, 2017 Boufal needs to improve to become a regular.
Fan The Flames Posted 27 March, 2017 Posted 27 March, 2017 Boufal will improve if he became a regular.
