Pass the Dutchie Posted 4 January, 2017 Share Posted 4 January, 2017 Our fixtures during the Africa Cup of Nations: Liverpool (h) Burnley (a) Leicester City (h) Liverpool (a) Swansea (a) West Ham (h) We'll miss Boufal (Morocco) for at least the first Liverpool match, the Burnley match and the Leicester City match, and possibly for all of them. Liverpool will miss Mané (Senegal) for the first match and possibly for the second. Burnley is unaffected. Leicester City will miss Amartey (Ghana), Mahrez (Algeria) and Slimani (Algeria). Swansea is unaffected. West Ham will possibly miss Kouyaté (Senegal) and Ayew (Ghana) if they progress to the semi-finals. Based purely on that, we'll want Morocco to do badly and Senegal and Ghana to reach at least the semi-finals. Who will you support (if anyone)? I'm quite happy for him to continue his fine form and get let down by the rest of his team, he's been looking better and better in recent games, going past people with such ease. whelk Posted 8 January, 2017 Share Posted 8 January, 2017 It might be fake news. Just searched his name and a few Morrocan supporters (assumption made) saying team doc sent him back. Would have imagined heard something further by now. Trump won the popular vote as well
Nordic Saint Posted 8 January, 2017 Share Posted 8 January, 2017 Boufal not going to afcon apparently He's only every played for Morocco twice in his career (home and away against the Cape Verde Islands in March last year), so they shouldn't be too bothered about him not going. Pamplemousse Posted 8 January, 2017 Share Posted 8 January, 2017 Search for 'Boufal blessé' on twitter (Boufal injured in French) and you'll see how upset the Moroccan supporters are. They're not happy. One of them thinks this is a conspiracy and wants FIFA to punish us.
.comsaint Posted 8 January, 2017 Share Posted 8 January, 2017 Boufal arrived in the UAE yesterday and was assessed by the Moroccan physio. It appears that Boufal isn't fit and it's a recurrence of an injury he picked up playing for us recently. He's already back in England. https://translate.google.co.uk/translate?hl=en&sl=nl&u=http://nieuws.marokko.nl/sofiane%2Bboufal/s/113662f951a98a8810604f7af25aa383/&prev=search

Lets B Avenue Posted 15 January, 2017 Share Posted 15 January, 2017 Costa Nhamoinesu, the left back that scored the winner for Sparta Prague against us, was playing for Zimbabwe. They got a credible 2-2 draw against Algeria. Mahrez scored both for Algeria. Glad he's missing the Leicester game.
Lets B Avenue Posted 28 January, 2017 Share Posted 28 January, 2017 Mane missed the 5th penalty in the shoot out. They lost 5-4 to Cameroon. It was a **** penalty. The other 9 were great. At least he can come back to Scouseland, as they've missed him so much!
