Want to reply but I will be here until 2018 writing my thoughts. Boufal GOAT, Pierre young/new country inconsistent, Puel I expect an improvement now the busy period will be over after everton, less rotation better speed.

 

Expect 2 players in transfer window, want a midfielder who scores but will never get one (Les you get a d- for that)

 

Style of play, i dunno really I am not conviced if we played like with did under poch or koeman that with our midfielders as thye are we would be any better, you can teach an old dog new tricks.

I think we have the players (maybe minus one striker), but they're not applied properly in a positional/tactical sense, IMO. We're too predictable and orderly - it's like watching the Trooping of the Colour when we're in possession!

 

Main point here: Watching other matches, there's a degree of 'chaos' ('unpredictability'?) from most teams which generally leads to goals. I think we need to be more chaotic in our play, rather than orderly.

 

It's the midfield where it's going wrong - too slow, backwards etc etc (said before by many). We have several 'attacking midfielders' (JWP, Hoj, Davis, Tadic, Redmond) but they never sodding attack! And why can't Romeu & Clasie attack more? Or VvD?

 

Rather than specific roles for these players, they all need to have several jobs, including covering for those who want to try something different. Total football - everyone should be able to play everywhere with confidence and understanding of their role in each area of the field. See the gap and fill it, whether it's attack or defence.

Summer signings - Boufal yes very much so 8.5 out of 10, Pierre has slipped down to about 7, Redmond - 4.5

 

Style of play - 5 with glimpses of good stuff which ranks about 8.5

 

Manager/Coaching staff - 6, not overly impressed or happy so far

 

Board Room - no idea, see what happens in january window

 

Players who have done well - McQueen, Virgil obviously, Davis, Boufal, Romeu

 

Those who have not - JWP, Forster (in last two months), Long, Jay Rod, Martina

 

Refs - The German guy against Sparta at home, other than that same old same old

 

Worthy mentions other than Saints - me, i cooked a lovely Christmas dinner :-D
