broken spoke Posted 31 December, 2016 Posted 31 December, 2016 the balance of the side is now wrong....
Dalek2003 Posted 31 December, 2016 Posted 31 December, 2016 Half way through the season we're going to be 1 point ahead of Burnley. At least Swansea and Sunderland are losing.
trousers Posted 31 December, 2016 Posted 31 December, 2016 Half way through the season we're going to be 1 point ahead of Burnley. And on the same number of points and 3 places higher than we were at the same stage last season
washsaint Posted 31 December, 2016 Posted 31 December, 2016 This will not be pretty at the end if we don't pick our ideas up. We are clueless and to have 0 shots on goal since we scored is criminal.
Micky Posted 31 December, 2016 Posted 31 December, 2016 At least Swansea and Sunderland are losing. You need to take a rest, really you do. Sent from my Hudl 2 using Tapatalk
adrian lord Posted 31 December, 2016 Posted 31 December, 2016 And on the same number of points and 3 places higher than we were at the same stage last season Everything in the garden is rosy.
Batman Posted 31 December, 2016 Posted 31 December, 2016 And on the same number of points and 3 places higher than we were at the same stage last season it was around this time last season that Koeman was under real pressure and 2 games away from te sack.....apparently
Greedyfly Posted 31 December, 2016 Posted 31 December, 2016 McQueen woth a cross in and everyone just stood there We've crossed the ball more times than any other team in the Prem. I have no idea why the **** we are doing this, it's not like any of our ****ing strikers are any good in the air. How many headed goals have we ****ing scored????? Dreadfully boring inept team to watch regardless of result.
Shroppie Posted 31 December, 2016 Author Posted 31 December, 2016 I'm not a pessimist type, but realistically I fear we're going to be looking at teams below us in the table with just a hint of worry for the rest of the season. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk
Dalek2003 Posted 31 December, 2016 Posted 31 December, 2016 You need to take a rest, really you do. Sent from my Hudl 2 using Tapatalk No, my comment is valid and will be increasingly so if we don't change things.
washsaint Posted 31 December, 2016 Posted 31 December, 2016 Make no mistake - unless something major changes we could well be in for a relegation scrap. We are terrible without any threat as an attacking force.
geoffnut Posted 31 December, 2016 Posted 31 December, 2016 And on the same number of points and 3 places higher than we were at the same stage last season But last season we finished really well. If we continue as we are we will finish near the bottom of the league.
Edmonton Saint Posted 31 December, 2016 Posted 31 December, 2016 We haven't created a chance seen falling behind. Says it all about this joker and his crap tactics this season.
adrian lord Posted 31 December, 2016 Posted 31 December, 2016 Puel is turning out a dreadful appointment.
Dalek2003 Posted 31 December, 2016 Posted 31 December, 2016 Make no mistake - unless something major changes we could well be in for a relegation scrap. We are terrible without any threat as an attacking force. You are not allowed to make such statements according to the 'happy clappy' brigade.
washsaint Posted 31 December, 2016 Posted 31 December, 2016 Why do we persist with this bloody tactic of always playing the ball out wide and trying to get bloody crosses in that we never ever win? We are so boring and predictable teams have us sussed out good and proper.
Shroppie Posted 31 December, 2016 Author Posted 31 December, 2016 But last season we finished really well. If we continue as we are we will finish near the bottom of the league. Exactly this. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk
farawaysaint Posted 31 December, 2016 Posted 31 December, 2016 You are not allowed to make such statements according to the 'happy clappy' brigade. No YOU are not allowed to make these statements. We are **** however.
Viking Saint Posted 31 December, 2016 Posted 31 December, 2016 another shocking setpiece delivery from JWP
trousers Posted 31 December, 2016 Posted 31 December, 2016 But last season we finished really well. If we continue as we are we will finish near the bottom of the league. Indeed. And if we'd have continued the same as we were this time last season the same would have applied last season. We turned things around after a poor November/December last season so why does it follow that we won't/can't this season? It may well transpire that we don't have the same level of improvement in the second half of this season but it may transpire that we do. Who knows?
saintsmike25 Posted 31 December, 2016 Posted 31 December, 2016 Our performance against Spurs was better than this, i'm usually not negative but Puel clearly is failing to inspire anyone at the moment. I'll be happy to see us finish mid-table and then have a change at the top he's not going to improve us.
Ohio Saint Posted 31 December, 2016 Posted 31 December, 2016 And on the same number of points and 3 places higher than we were at the same stage last season How dare you!!!!!
DT Posted 31 December, 2016 Posted 31 December, 2016 Another dreadful corner from our specialist JWP. Can't even get it over the first man. Really atrocious Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
farawaysaint Posted 31 December, 2016 Posted 31 December, 2016 I don't think out tight ownership will fire Purl.
alpine_saint Posted 31 December, 2016 Posted 31 December, 2016 We are in an awful situation. The club clearly do not want to spend money anymore. Who is responsible for the team selection and tactics ? Is it Puel or Reed ? The players dont look interested. I cannot forget VVDs interview after the first few games. Fonte is more-or-less frozen out. I think a clean sweep is needed at the top again. Puel will only be the sacrificial lamb.
adrian lord Posted 31 December, 2016 Posted 31 December, 2016 Indeed. And if we'd have continued the same as we were this time last season the same would apply. The omens are poor for any such recovery, with an uninspiring Puel and weaker squad.
BotleySaint Posted 31 December, 2016 Posted 31 December, 2016 2 home defeats in a row. 2 sent off. Doesn't look good.
Edmonton Saint Posted 31 December, 2016 Posted 31 December, 2016 And now VVD out of the Everton game.
DT Posted 31 December, 2016 Posted 31 December, 2016 Last time we'll see vvd Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
St Marco Posted 31 December, 2016 Posted 31 December, 2016 How dare you!!!!! If you think this team will go on to replicate what we did in the 2nd half of last season can I please have some of your pills?
Saint_clark Posted 31 December, 2016 Posted 31 December, 2016 According to the beeb Mike Dean was lenient on a wba player in the first half who should have had a second yellow, but we get one of ours sent off instead.
Heisenberg Posted 31 December, 2016 Posted 31 December, 2016 Was 2 months ago when Sims impressed us all against Everton, he was fearless and attacking was his first /only thought. He was brilliant that day Hes played 30 minutes since then and Puel has managed to mold him into his type of player (head down, backwards or side passing) Puel is not giving youth a chance he is killing its spirit. He managed to do same with Hoj So many underperforming with Puel here VVD REDCARD perfect day. Happy new year PUEL
trousers Posted 31 December, 2016 Posted 31 December, 2016 The omens are poor for any such recovery, with an uninspiring Puel and weaker squad. You'll probably find people were saying the same thing about Koeman this time last year too.
mrfahaji Posted 31 December, 2016 Posted 31 December, 2016 And on the same number of points and 3 places higher than we were at the same stage last season True, and my comment also does a disservice to Burnley, who are doing pretty well. However, I'm sure that most would have expected us to fairing a little better, and others have mentioned, our form from the turn of the year was pretty exceptional - in fact I recall it was second only to Leicester. And VVD is off. Great.
obelisk Posted 31 December, 2016 Posted 31 December, 2016 There's something seriously wrong at Saints. Players don't seem up for it at all.
Mr X Posted 31 December, 2016 Posted 31 December, 2016 just great 10 men now, I voted for Puel to stay but this is shocking he is clearly not right for us
hypochondriac Posted 31 December, 2016 Posted 31 December, 2016 Even when we have won this year our performances on the whole have been dull and slow. It feels slightly like we have lost our identity.
striker Posted 31 December, 2016 Posted 31 December, 2016 We do look very flat right now. No emotion or intensity.
Baird of the land Posted 31 December, 2016 Posted 31 December, 2016 Van Dijk has been pretty bad today, should knock a few million of his valuation. Saints utterly devoid of ideas its embarassing.
