This!! Why others can't accept this I don't know...

Because our players have a lot of quality and can clearly offer something more than this as a response. This really is a very poor standard of play especially as a home team.

The Poch high pressing game is forcing us so deep that when we do win the ball there is not the numbers in advance positions.
Fascinating insight!

why when the ball is played back to forster does he just take a random paniced punt up field usually straight to the opposition? no composure

Commentator can't resist putting van dijk ad in again as they trudge off. Are they on commission or something?

Some time you just have l accept that you cant play your game, and spurs are playing well.

We need to keep up the strong defensive display and look for a breakaway goal

Ditch the diamond or Spurs will win this - it has been one way traffic for last 30 minutes. Throw on Long up front with Rodriguez to give us an outlet.

Very poor from Saints after a great start. We're sitting so deep and ceding possession in scary positions so when we get it back there is no 'out' ball.

Forster's kicking abysmal (what jackoffs think he could have done anything about the goal and the massive deflection - and no way on thi splanet could he have come and claimed the cross) and the hate for JWP is ridiculous.

Batman and Heisens**t being complete tools as ever. One simple, one windup merchant. T**ts.

Fonte and Boufal have been very very poor.

Poor first half from us, we look like the away side. Hope Puel has got a plan B because we won't last very long in the second half if nothing changes. Spurs are all over us and will get a hatful unless something changes.

chaotic first half, neither team able to control the game, lots of pinball. shouts to boufal Redmond and JWP who are all excellent and a quality above the rest of our players today. I think we were unlucky to concede, ricocheted cross. puel will calm us down for the second half, we can win this!

The three defending midfielders need to do more. Boufal is working hard.

Midfield is the issue - they've got Vic, Dembele and Ali all driving forward; we have Davis making a few forays, Romeu with his hands full holding and JWP just meandering, neither holding or attacking.

We managed to catch Spurs of guard with that goal, which made them lose abit of confidence and we seemed to be in control and playing at them with fair.. however Spurs being Spurs got a lucky game (maybe our defense got lulled into a false sense of security with how bad Spurs were playing).

We need to come out in the second the same way we started and get at them, defending of them and playing out for the counter will only invite pressure on and let Spurs get the 3 points.

i don't get how we can play so well for 15 minutes then be so bad for the remaining 30, its like we accepted the equaliser as a defeat

Spurs are a very good expensively assembled team...we should be smashing them :mcinnes:

Sissoko apart most of their team cost an ok amount and their wages are only a bit more like max 100k so levy must be doing some black magic to keep them out of others clutches.

TOTTENHAM

Hugo Lloris - £9.5m

Kyle Walker - £4.4m

Jan Vertonghen - £9.3m

Danny Rose - £1m

Eric Dier - £4m

Dele Alli - £5m

Mousa Dembele - £14.2m

Wanyama - £11m

Sissoko - £30m

Christian Eriksen - £10.1m

Harry Kane - Free

Just looking at a replay of the moment Wanyama broke into the box. Great challenge by Fonte to prevent a goal scoring opportunity.

worth goal that was

Big wages?

We need to take Fraser out of the equation when moving it around the back, just don't give it to him. His distribution off the floor is shocking. Even when he has time and space his technique is poor, last man in the back four, just hoof it for him.

With the exception of Sissoko, it does make Levy look good. I don't like it when he looks good.

It is useful to remember all of the Bale money that he threw away, though. Plus he spent a mint on Son, who is presently warming the Spurs bench.
