Dalek2003 Posted 26 December, 2016 Posted 26 December, 2016 Newport 1 up against P**** at the moment. Surely the bottom club can't take three points off the giants of League 2?
Edmonton Saint Posted 26 December, 2016 Posted 26 December, 2016 All pretty dull so far. I miss Saints not playing on boxing day..
Gunnery Posted 26 December, 2016 Posted 26 December, 2016 Papers over the cracks, no way will they go up this season, they're way to inconsistent.
Window Cleaner Posted 26 December, 2016 Posted 26 December, 2016 All pretty dull so far. I miss Saints not playing on boxing day.. All teams should play on Boxing Day. Mind you watching City ponce about on the edge of Hull's box really isn't an advertisment for football.
John Boy Saint Posted 26 December, 2016 Posted 26 December, 2016 Just as an aside the Arsenal game last Boxing Day kept coming up on social media today, and especially Cucu Martinas opener, even now that was one hell of a strike....... Not sure why I hadn't noticed it before but not only does he bend it inside the post but right round the back of Monreal (I think).
SuperSAINT Posted 26 December, 2016 Posted 26 December, 2016 Another game closer to being able to bid for Sigurdsson if Swansea get relegated.
angelman Posted 26 December, 2016 Posted 26 December, 2016 Another game closer to being able to bid for Sigurdsson if Swansea get relegated. Signed a contract in August.....therefore expensive
DuncanRG Posted 26 December, 2016 Posted 26 December, 2016 Signed a contract in August.....therefore expensive There will be a relegation clause of some sort, I'm sure. But if we were interested in him I expect we'd have had a go when Spurs sold him back.
jamesfp1 Posted 26 December, 2016 Posted 26 December, 2016 Signed a contract in August.....therefore expensive We can afford him regardless. But not the sort of player we'd go for.
SuperSAINT Posted 26 December, 2016 Posted 26 December, 2016 We can afford him regardless. But not the sort of player we'd go for. Was a story that Saints & Everton wanted him before he signed his contract extension.
jamesfp1 Posted 26 December, 2016 Posted 26 December, 2016 While it's a cool story. We don't buy proven prem quality that often. We tend to go for hidden gems in the top European leagues.
Heisenberg Posted 26 December, 2016 Posted 26 December, 2016 As great as Sigurðsson is hes 27 now and would cost us £14-20m I'd expect (todays rates) Ask yourself what hed be worth in 2 years and you can then instantly rule him out as a saints signing Im greateful for our policies as wasting money on proven premier league quality and proven goal scorers with no resale value is a complete waste of time imho Id defo prefer to gamble on unknowns and hope for the best
Batman Posted 27 December, 2016 Posted 27 December, 2016 swansea are in real trouble they have a better side than their position reflects
Window Cleaner Posted 27 December, 2016 Posted 27 December, 2016 swansea are in real trouble they have a better side than their position reflects What can you expect with the idiotic managerial choice that they made. There were experienced managers available and they chose someone from the MLS or similar.Anyway Sunderland Hull and Swansea are all as good as down and everyone else not interested above midtable can coast through the rest of the season.
Dark Munster Posted 27 December, 2016 Posted 27 December, 2016 What can you expect with the idiotic managerial choice that they made. There were experienced managers available and they chose someone from the MLS or similar.Anyway Sunderland Hull and Swansea are all as good as down and everyone else not interested above midtable can coast through the rest of the season. That's what they said about Leicester 2 years ago. And Palace before that, and ...
simo Posted 27 December, 2016 Posted 27 December, 2016 swansea are in real trouble they have a better side than their position reflects Bob been booted!
Dark Munster Posted 27 December, 2016 Posted 27 December, 2016 Bob been booted! After 11 matches. Nice they gave him a chance.
SuperSAINT Posted 27 December, 2016 Posted 27 December, 2016 After 11 matches. Nice they gave him a chance. Not much of a chance when they tried to "do a Saints" and sell their forward line & best defender.
doddisalegend Posted 27 December, 2016 Posted 27 December, 2016 After 11 matches. Nice they gave him a chance. A lot of clubs are very short term these days guess that's down to the PL gravy train. Once upon a time going down was painful but survivable these days the money makes clubs look no further than staying up each season. I imagine Pardew will rock up in Wales in the next few days....
Micky Posted 27 December, 2016 Posted 27 December, 2016 'Tis the season to be sacked..... Sent from my Hudl 2 using Tapatalk
whelk Posted 27 December, 2016 Posted 27 December, 2016 After 11 matches. Nice they gave him a chance. There is a good up and coming English manager doing a fantastic job at Leeds
austsaint Posted 27 December, 2016 Posted 27 December, 2016 There is a good up and coming English manager doing a fantastic job at Leeds Who must be chuckling to himself at Swansea's decline.
