Micky Posted 24 December, 2016 Posted 24 December, 2016 Extraordinary career in rock, master of the four chord wonder, gone far too young. RIP Rick. Sent from my Hudl 2 using Tapatalk
sadoldgit Posted 24 December, 2016 Posted 24 December, 2016 That is one more chord than I thought they new! One of the first bands I saw back in the 70s. Stuck to what they new best bless em. If you are an aging rock star, this is a good year to go. RIP Rick.
5string Posted 24 December, 2016 Posted 24 December, 2016 Pretty devastated to hear this news. My favourite musician in my favourite band. He was a lot better guitarist than was often given credit for - check out some of his instructional vids on YouTube. Nice guy as well. It was sad to hear he wouldn't play with Quo any more after his heart attack in the summer, but this tops off 2016, doesn't it? RIP Rick
Hatch Posted 24 December, 2016 Posted 24 December, 2016 Not really a fan but seeing Quo in concert was brilliant, Great fun
Wes Tender Posted 24 December, 2016 Posted 24 December, 2016 Saw them three times live, the first at Portsmouth. Was it the Top Rank in Arundel Street? Anyway, "Pictures of Matchstick Men" was their first hit at the time. They were a great live act
SO16_Saint01 Posted 24 December, 2016 Posted 24 December, 2016 2016 really was the year that ended the Status Quo
