Short story - used to play under Puel so we think we might have a chance - Atletico also interested. Having a blinding season for Nice at the moment and enjoying life at the top of the table. They are like our French Cousin.

Replace 'Nice' with 'Saints' and 'top of their league' with any of our record breaking finishing positions and you're onto something.

Ligue 1 is a bit of a substandard affair anyway. Even serial failures like Balotelli and Falcao look good in it. Look at that bloke Sunderland bought from Bordeaux last winter, Wabi Khazri or something...what's he done since?
