If I were playing for Saints, I would pick the ball up on the halfway line and go on a mazy run, culminating in a thumping 25 yard shot that whistles into the back of the net past Muller. Then to celebrate, I would go over and nut McG. Might knock some sense into him.

Then I would be your God, and would repeat the feat in every game.

If only it were that easy. Still, I'd like to see Morgan do it this game...

You'd be knackered halfway through the "mazy run" and would end up running the ball out of play. ;)

You'd probably wake up somewhere along the line too..! ;)

If you turned around and headed towards our own goal...it would be a lot easier.

As it stands we claw a point back on Norwich, Watford & Donny.

But Forest winning means we are now two points (although realistically three points cos of GD) adrift of safety.

A draw to day is Ok as long as we win against Donny, a win to day would be very valuable.

We have to get the ball down and start playing. Frustrating that we can't seem to play a ball forwards dangerously.. we can't create anything proper... despite possesson.

A draw is a poor result in this game, however if we go one down anytime soon tghen I would say a draw would be a good result. :-)

There's logic within my ramblings...

SSN saying it's all Barnsley and we're not really in it :(

Saganowski ISN'T a lone striker. McGoldrick is playing in midfield by the sounds of things; or he just can't be bothered to get moving.

I disagree, the way we I playing at home I think Barnsley away is the sort of game we need to win.

Barely heard any of the Midfield or 2 forwards names mentioned ... time for maybe Gillet to come on and get some challenges in, or Mclaggon on for BWP or McG and actually play as a winger.

COYR ... we need at least 2 goals as Cureton will score against us :(

My last post, but Happy New Year to all you World wide fellow Saints ... keep the faith and pray the Spirit of Southampton is somehow rediscovered.

A nice "in game" summation... of course for a long term picture keep an eye open for the "4 team mini relegation lottery" thread started in September...

Indeed he isn't, we bought him. :D

But you are right, DMG is playing to far from Saga by the sounds of it. He keeps being crowded out.

Not Gillett, not any way. Even if we're down to 10 men, no Gillett thanks,

"Cambell-ryce down to the byline, good cross needed to be headed behind by Molyneux"

BWP and Smith take note - crosses from the byline are dangerous, cutting inside or crossing deep is crap.
