SNSUN Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 If I were playing for Saints, I would pick the ball up on the halfway line and go on a mazy run, culminating in a thumping 25 yard shot that whistles into the back of the net past Muller. Then to celebrate, I would go over and nut McG. Might knock some sense into him. Then I would be your God, and would repeat the feat in every game. If only it were that easy. Still, I'd like to see Morgan do it this game...

Saint_clark Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 Corner to Barnsley.......Brilliant save by Davis, the Barnsley fans were already cheering!

new_zealand_saint Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 anyone know where i can listen to the match commentary online?
um pahars Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 Armstrong saying Scheiderlin not really been in the game. The longer the game goes n the more confident I'm getting
SNSUN Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 You'd be knackered halfway through the "mazy run" and would end up running the ball out of play. Quite true.
um pahars Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 As it stands we claw a point back on Norwich, Watford & Donny. But Forest winning means we are now two points (although realistically three points cos of GD) adrift of safety. A draw to day is Ok as long as we win against Donny, a win to day would be very valuable.
bridge too far Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 SSN saying it's all Barnsley and we're not really in it
BotleySaint Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 We have to get the ball down and start playing. Frustrating that we can't seem to play a ball forwards dangerously.. we can't create anything proper... despite possesson.
SNSUN Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 A draw is a poor result in this game, however if we go one down anytime soon tghen I would say a draw would be a good result. :-) There's logic within my ramblings...

Saint_clark Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 (edited) SSN saying it's all Barnsley and we're not really in it Saganowski ISN'T a lone striker. McGoldrick is playing in midfield by the sounds of things; or he just can't be bothered to get moving. Edited 10 January, 2009 by Saint_clark

alpine_saint Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 look at premiership live league table -skates certainly in relegation battle http://live.skysports.com/ScoreCentre/live.html So f**king what ? This site is about Saints and this thread is about the second half of their game today.
saintsforlife7 Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 Id have Mclaggan on down the right wing now, give us something to aim for down the wings, maybe Gillet for Spider if he's done nout too?
ericofarabia Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 Barely heard any of the Midfield or 2 forwards names mentioned ... time for maybe Gillet to come on and get some challenges in, or Mclaggon on for BWP or McG and actually play as a winger. COYR ... we need at least 2 goals as Cureton will score against us My last post, but Happy New Year to all you World wide fellow Saints ... keep the faith and pray the Spirit of Southampton is somehow rediscovered.
1965onwards Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 what is the point of high balls into the box for Saga or Mcg

A nice "in game" summation... of course for a long term picture keep an eye open for the "4 team mini relegation lottery" thread started in September...
Saint Martini Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 Saganowski ISN'T a loan striker. McGoldrick is playing in midfield by the sounds of things; or he just can't be bothered to get moving. Indeed he isn't, we bought him. But you are right, DMG is playing to far from Saga by the sounds of it. He keeps being crowded out.

Not Gillett, not any way. Even if we're down to 10 men, no Gillett thanks,

maxi_sopez Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 mcgodrick is as sh!t as hamas rockets, no accuracy and poses no real danger to the opposition
TijuanaTim Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 Do we 'need' to make any changes FFS? Moving nicely right now.
Sfc90 Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 Size outstanding apparently.. Barnsley will win 1-0 though, all over us
Saint_clark Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 Do we 'need' to make any changes FFS? Moving nicely right now. I think Saganowski will be brought into the game more with someone who actually runs in AM.

ottery st mary Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 Dmg shot 25yards goes wide. tis 25 yards wide.
brightspark Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 Dmg shot 25yards goes wide. Or maybe it was actually his shot that was 25 yards wide?
Evil Monkey Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 Dmg shot 25yards goes wide. Did you mean... Dmg shot goes 25yards wide.
Saint_clark Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 Anyone else a comic genius, or is that joke finished now?
ottery st mary Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 Just been measured and was only 20yds wide
Saint_clark Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 "Cambell-ryce down to the byline, good cross needed to be headed behind by Molyneux" BWP and Smith take note - crosses from the byline are dangerous, cutting inside or crossing deep is crap.
maxi_sopez Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 how many fans do we have up there? fair play to anyone who went up
