We are after a Vanencia midfielder says the Daily Star

This lad can score goals and decent with free kicks too - he would improve us.

V.unlikely we would sign him however as he's 27 (nearly 28.) and wouldn't be an investment type purchase Reed favours

Non starter imho

About the same age as when we signed Graziano Pele, we didn't do too bad with him, did we? And made a buck or two when we sold him.

Pinch of salt but probably more to the point...if he's relatively cheap.

I assume this is mooted as a January purchase to save our season, we'd probably break the mould under these circumstances. And he's only a year older than Austin.

Can he score 20 goals?

Would take someone who could get 2 at the moment.

From the Echo: In overall league and cup action, Redmond, Long and Rodriguez have five goals in over 53 hours of action. In other words, only one of them is scoring on average around every ten and a half hours.

holding your pillow tight?

:toppa:

Can't see much truth in this, we're hugely stocked in midfield with any of the following to choose from:

Davis

Hojbjerg

Romeu

Ward-Prowse

Tadic

Boufal

Sims

Reed

Clasie

Plus the option to push McQueen up on the wing as shown a couple of times.

A goal every 5 games on average from midfield...would be happy with that. Would mean someone would be leaving though, which leaves Clasie as the most likely victim...and I still think he'll be very good for us.

Unless this guy is the replacement for Davis.

Would be a rather strange addition, but it's that kind of season. Puel can turn him into the next Eden Hazard, failing that Alan McLoughlin.

You mean like he's turned Redmond into the next Henri

TBH I doubt Alan McLoughlin can turn him into Eden Hazard. But I'm willing to eat popcorn and watch while he attempts it.
