ScepticalStan Posted 14 December, 2016 Share Posted 14 December, 2016 I get to watch people who slag off Puel for being boring, predictable, risk-averse and responsible for sideways passing, defend Steven Davis and JWP, who exemplify all of the above. austsaint Posted 14 December, 2016 Share Posted 14 December, 2016 Davo did have an off night - he seemed to be asked to play a more defensive role most of the night; his through ball to Boufal should have resulted in the winning goal had Boufal shot or J-Rod used his left foot. Several people commented on how well JWP played - my frustration with him (obviously under instruction) was the mostly safe and sideways passing followed by a sprint into the box??? petts Posted 14 December, 2016 Share Posted 14 December, 2016 Not the best day at the office, though we've been lucky with last 2 managers hitting the ground running. All a bit dull in the final 3rd as lacking the link play and the probing runs. But I think there is plenty more to come from this saints team, especially when the first 11 settles a bit and boufel begins to get in his stride (he is going to be an exceptional player). Deano6 Posted 14 December, 2016 Share Posted 14 December, 2016 Well, there's good news and bad news. The bad news is that Neil will be taking over both branches, and some of you will lose your jobs. Those of you who are kept on will have to relocate to Swindon, if you wanna stay. I know, gutting. On a more positive note, the good news is, I've been promoted, so... every cloud. You're still thinking about the bad news aren't you?

They'll be on the ground crying in no time." Arnautovic: "I dunno, they look pretty trim, boss." Hughes: "Yeah? Against Karate?"

Davis added a bunch of forwards passing when he got the chance and a couple of key passes we should have had shots on target from.
Manuel Posted 15 December, 2016 Share Posted 15 December, 2016 Midfielder has his back to the opposition goal 24 yards out. Defender passes to him and midfielder with one touch passes directly back to where it came. This happens 100 times a game. If the midfielder turned and ran each time we would create chances. larry12 Posted 15 December, 2016 Share Posted 15 December, 2016 Davis and Prowse = no goals. From the year dot. JWP played well say blind men. Davo is past it and Prowse never was it. Nobody wants anyone other that VVD. Cr8p overall squad can't score. Sell 6-8 in Jan and get 4 midfield in who know what the opposition goal looks like. Davo did have an off night - he seemed to be asked to play a more defensive role most of the night; his through ball to Boufal should have resulted in the winning goal had Boufal shot or J-Rod used his left foot.
