TopGun Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 (edited) My parents live in Highfield and they tell me that the area had some power surge last week one night that affected a load of people in the neighbourhood. They say that their PC is knackered from it and they have sent it off to be fixed. Is this possible? And, if it is, what's the worst that could happen to a PC? Surely there should be some fuse that blows before the whole thing fries internally.... Edited 10 January, 2009 by TopGun
mynameisthehulk Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 Yes it is possible for a power surge to fry your PC, I reccomend the use of a surge protector such as this to prevent damage. http://www.ebuyer.com/product/45272
