N/West Saint Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 Just like to wish WB good luck on his Man City debut against the skates. Hope he scores against them lol
Saint_clark Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 Wasn't his Chelsea debut against the Skates as well, or am I thinking of Crouch when he went to Liverpool?
ericofarabia Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 He scored for Chelski against the skates and after enduring all the usual scummer chants from them all match, he made a point of running in front of them as he celebrated and was quite possibly giving them the finger or ****** gesticulation if memory serves me right. His other goal celebration of note was at Bolton (for us) possibly his first goal (?). He ran the length of the pitch doing the famous Mick Channon Windmill. On the subject of Bridgey it's all gone quiet on whether we had any sign on clause when we sold him. Seems mad not to have done, with a player of his age and quality when we sold him. But with our history of transfer **** ups (Alan Shearer) it wouldn't come as any surprise.
1976_Child Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 bon voyage. ..Bridge Over Troubled Waters..
bridge too far Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 Go on, my boy - show those Skates a clean pair of heels. Make them look stupid - you know you can.
paulwantsapint Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 Do us proud WB beat the skates Take as much cash from Man City as poss I know of a good cause you can donate to think it is close to your heart (saints fc)
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 Wayne Bridge became a Southampton legend that day against the Skates, I remember seeing it on MOTD and had a smile from ear to ear. Best of luck Bridgey!
Tac-tics Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 anyone have the link to the celebration? dying to see it
Tac-tics Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 I think I’ll be getting a few chants of ‘Chelsea reject’ and stuff about my time at Southampton, but I like those sorts of games!” laughs Wayne. “I want to get out and play, if I could get a goal there will definitely be a big celebration.” from man city site
Tac-tics Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 here it is. what a legend http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=0H2BO9qUceU&feature=channel_page

lordswoodsaints Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 its nice to know that whatever club bridgey plays for he will always enjoy sticking it to the skates.
Bensfcno1 Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 How pathetic is that, the most southern Premiership ground is the only one which has to a abadon its game, proves that they should not be aloud or deserve to play in that league. Bridges 1st goal for saints i believe was a free kick at the dell, cant remember the opponents tho.
Saint Stimp Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 Bridges 1st goal for saints i believe was a free kick at the dell, cant remember the opponents tho. vs West Ham.
Under Weststand Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 Good luck Bridgey hope you have a great time at City. Now the game has been postponed wouldn't it be great if it was rescheduled at the end of the season & he scored the goal that relegated them. Now that would be a LOL moment.
Hatch Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 Points dedution hopefully for the Skates. They should have used something stronger than Sol Campbells hairdryer to keep the pitch warm.
Saint Martini Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 Good luck Bridgey hope you have a great time at City. Now the game has been postponed wouldn't it be great if it was rescheduled at the end of the season & he scored the goal that relegated them. Now that would be a LOL moment. I would love to see Bridgey run across the field to mock the pompey fans if he did that. Like when he scored that goal against pompey for Chelsea. Brilliant celebration.
paulwantsapint Posted 10 January, 2009 Posted 10 January, 2009 Would love WB 2 send them down then remove shirt to show off a Saints shirt or Saints related message
