Hmmm of course it all works out, we have a Saints fan on the West Coast so this MUST be true.

Does this mean we'll have the first team ever that keeps crashing because we forgot to turn on our automatic Java updates...

Oh no that was Ronaldo

(yeah I know Java is Sun but it was funnier this way)

It could become a Hall of Fame rumour. He wants to block Paul Allen, Larry is very much anti-Microsoft. ;)

Next we'll be being bought out by Steve Jobs.....I wonder if anyone can come up with a list of MS, Oracle and Apple attributes and apply them to Saints!! I just ain't got the imagination..

Actually, here's a start.

iPhone - all flashy and nice looking with no real depth, severly lacking in one or two major features!!

OMG!!!

Of course that's it - there's nothing wrong with Steve Jobs, he's simply taking a sabbatical to lead the takeover team into battle with Larry Ellison to buy Saints

Oh don't you LOVE Fridays!

lol wondered when you'd wake up!

So, as our resident guru on the subject, who has the right earlobes for the Directors Box, Jobs or Ellison?

Steve Jobs has no lobes!!

larryellison-hd.jpg

Neither does Ellison!!

So that means they'll buy us out and leave RL in charge!!!

I didn't see Trousers' image before I posted this, am I now the official lobe padewan??

Rising Sun is a huge yacht designed by the late Jon Bannenberg, and built by Germany's Lürssen, is currently co-owned by Larry Ellison, CEO of Oracle Corporation, and David Geffen. The yacht is the 5th largest in the world with a length of almost 138 meters (453 ft). It reportedly cost over US$200 million to build.

The yacht was seen docked in Venice in July 2008 not far from St. Mark's Square. In August 2008, the yacht was seen around Venice, the Greek islands of Zante, Corfu and Paxos, the Adriatic and Rovinj (Croatia). In September the yacht was in Trieste (Italy) and Piran (Slovenia). As of December 2008, Rising Sun is in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands and seen in Sint Maarten in January.

It is equipped with:

  • Four MTU 20V 8000 M90 diesel engines giving an output of 36,000 kW (50,000 hp)
  • Four propellers that enable it to reach a cruising speed of 28 knots (52 km/h)
  • 82 rooms on five stories with a total living area said to be in excess of 8,000 square meters
  • Onyx countertops
  • Jacuzzi bathrooms
  • A gymnasium/spa and sauna
  • An extensive wine cellar
  • A master bath/bedroom
  • A private cinema with a giant plasma screen
  • 3,300 m² of teak-layered deck space
  • A basketball court on the main deck (can be used as a helicopter pad if necessary)

Beat that Allen.

Surely its not the size of the boat but the motion in the ocean?

Wow a whole 3 posts taken up by spelling corrections.

Meanwhile back at Bay Watch, oops sorry harbour watch, has it moved yet?

What time the LSE close for the big announcement from the OP?

Where's this yacht parked?

Have to say this is almost as daft to hope for as Lowe getting us promoted this year... but if we all had any get up and go we'd probably be targetting people like this with a sales team and saying 'what about it oh Mr Oracle!?'

But, we seem more set to follow Lowe dooooooooooooooooooooooon.

The only way reallly that that could be done is by taking the property angle first - the marina developmnet etc and and gtetting all the planning in principle stuff and options on teh land sorted AND THEN taking it to potential dvelopers/buyers of the club.... and in this climate?

We should accept ourselves! SFC should be incorporated as an Industrial and Provident Society, owned and run for the members and by the members. If FC United of Manchester and AFC Wimbledon can be so incorporated then SFC can too...

Edit: and if Lowe, Wilde, Crouch and the rest would like to be members of the club then fine by me. One man, one vote.

As an owner of Ebbsfleet which is an IPS it is not all a bed of roses, although we have appointed a CEO and a board and make most of the decisions as a collective. We even made transfer decisions on the website. Saints do need investment but the kind of money in MyFC wouldn't keep SFC afloat for 5 minutes.
