um pahars Posted 10 January, 2009 Share Posted 10 January, 2009 and most fans are ****ed off about the players we can afford and how badly we are doing. I'm not really sure I agree with that (because that's nto how I personally see it anyway). I think most fans accept where we are, of course they would like to see us somehwere else, and they accept that within reason we cannot spend what we haven't got. So what I think most fans are ****ed off with is the appointment, tactics and leadership of a poor manager, some very poor purchases and loans, the lack of empathy and communication from the Club and the underperformance of the talent we have at our disposal. Whilst lack of finance sets the context we have to work in, all of the above could be changed without any real influx of cash. In summary, I don't think thee problem is with what little we have got, it's how poorly we have done we with it. Lots of people like the idea of a locally run, self sufficient club, but not the reality. Unless the rich owners of all the other clubs bugger off then were are still relatively poor, stuck in the CCC scrabbling around for the cash to employ a striker. I agree. I think the idea of locally owned, supported clubs is something we would all like the idea of, but the problem comes when you look at the wider picture and see that it would be a fairly futile exercise for many clubs given the market they operate in. For some clubs it has worked out of necessity, others through choice, but for it to have spread it would require is a wholsale change in attitude throughout the game. We said the deal couldn't be finalised until Eric had double checked the back of his sofa because on first pass he only found 17 dirhams which left us about 4 dirhams short. And secondly the camels rumour is NOT correct. We are in fact embarking on a long term strategy, I have two highly trained Killer Guard Tortoises in my garden and we are now trying to get them to breed because we know that 1) They are worth lots of money in England and 2) there is a demand for Guard animals that don't bark all the time. Please, we only need another 8 months before the eggs hatch and we can sell 4 baby tortoises and afford Shearer as our manager.. (Oh sorry that was somebody else's money raising plan)! At first I thought it was a booze thing when people kept saying and a Double Happy New Year.... Was actually thinking about sending them Tortoises on a new sports science course if the breeding programme doesn't work, they'd not be too expensive salary-wise and could certainly teach our forward line a thing or two about pace. Also a whole way of covering extremities up when facing a direct free-kick in the penalty area........... Wiltshire Saint Posted 10 January, 2009 Share Posted 10 January, 2009 or keep your ears *****ed and find out first hand! EDIT: **** = p r i c k..... christ, admins! this is worse than fuukcing Auschwitz! 'keep your ears p r i c ked' is a perfectly decent construct of the English language! Bloody hell, you lot! What's your excuse, eh? Just doing my job.. Now in you go you big-nosed zionist pig! Breath deeply! YA VOL!! God, I'm in a petulant mood. I'm with you 100%. I personally think that Ponty is like a SS soldier. Whenever I see one of his posts I am reminded of this quote: "The killing of unarmed POWs did not trouble many of the men in I company that day for to them the SS guards did not deserve the same protected status as enemy soldiers who have been captured after a valiant fight. To many of the men in I company, the SS were nothing more than wild, vicious animals whose role in this war was to starve, brutalize, torment, torture and murder helpless civilians." Flint Whitlock, The Rock of Anzio, From Sicily to Dachau: A history of the U.S. 45th Infantry Division. If you replace the word "civilians" with the word "posters" then I think it is a fitting description of how this board works.

SaintBobby Posted 10 January, 2009 Share Posted 10 January, 2009 no it is not. As concerns our football club we could very easily be incorporated as an 'Industrial and Provident Society', run by the members and for the members. As concerns our country's industrial base, a very simple import levy would suffice. It would involve giving the EU the middle finger and building up Her Majesty's Navy to its former glory in order to protect us when the Indians and Chinese get ****ed off with us for not sending our hard currency to them in return for crap goods we could have made ourselves. But we could do it. And we should do it. On the former, you won't ever hear Lowe et al voice in concert the community aspects of our FC and on the latter, Brown only cares about his 'legacy' and sold out the idea of true socialism a long time ago, Cameron is a toff who has too much money already and only wants to 'get in to power' and the BNP are a bunch of racist ****s. But mark my words, our country's economy can only be revived when we stop importing crap from overseas and start feeding ourselves. Proper, true Nationalism (nothing, to do with National Socialism. White, black, christian, muslem or jew, gay or straight we all live on this island and we all have a lot to gain from closing our borders to foreign imports unless we desperately need them). We are a proud country and we are selling our soul to people over-seas just because some t0sser of an 'economist' says there are marginal gains to be made. ******. If I lose my job to an Indian computer programmer exactly what should I retrain as?? I am already highly qualified. Economists are a bunch of useless t0ssers who don't live in the real world. Same as bankers and politicians. SFC needs middle-eastern 'investors' like a hole in the head. Our country needs 'globalisation' like a hole in the head. Yeah, I much prefer English coffee to that imported rubbish. I'd take money into Saints from any suitor - don't care about nationality...
