scotty Posted 20 November, 2016 Share Posted 20 November, 2016 I suspect that the reaction will be "meh".
jasonb Posted 21 November, 2016 Share Posted 21 November, 2016 I'd rather he got ignored and the crowd put their effort into backing our own team, but that's about as likely as Maya Yoshida winning Fan's Player of the year. I think POTY is a two horse race already. If both players continue their outstanding form for the remainder of the season it's going to be a very close fight. SKD Posted 21 November, 2016 Share Posted 21 November, 2016 I wish we spent our collective energies supporting and getting right behind our team, The Lovren stuff yesterday was cringeworthy and quite rightly ran out of steam once Liverpool fans hit back with 'Dejan Lovren he's top of the league'. Forget the opposition, get behind the Saints for 90 minutes. Not from Itchen North who responded with 'Dejan Lovern, your wife is a whore' and 'Stand up if you've ****ged his wife'. It's just a shame it wasn't loud enough for him to hear it. On that anything we can sing about Koeman's wife
Norm Posted 21 November, 2016 Share Posted 21 November, 2016 So the 12 year olds sang about Lovern's wife and now want to sing about about Koeman's wife. Have I got that correctly?
100%Red&White Posted 21 November, 2016 Share Posted 21 November, 2016 Occasionally you get someone come along who rightly deserves dog's abuse, Koeman and most others that have left in recent years don't, imo. And unless everyone's doing it, and meaning it, it's all just a bit lame really and looks a bit pathetic when it's just a bunch of high-pitched spotty adolescents contorting their face in mock outrage. S-Clarke Posted 21 November, 2016 Share Posted 21 November, 2016 Don't see the point to be honest. Grateful with what he gave us for the last 2 years, some great days, some frustrating days, but mainly some of our best days in the PL. He was very much a case of right man, right time. Exactly who we needed to steady the ship when all was seemingly sinking around us. Everton will be a struggle for him, expectations are higher, more money to spend etc etc. I don't think Everton fans are even that keen on him, as their ambitions are totally skewed - seeing as they thought they could get Pep or Jose in the summer. So if that's the way Everton fans are thinking, he's not got a chance of success there.
Saint_Tony Posted 22 November, 2016 Share Posted 22 November, 2016 Not too bothered; we got two seasons out of him which is quite a long time these days. Managers will always come and go. I'd still like to see him fail at Everton though; all the talk of ambition, yet their marquee signing was Bolasie, who turns up one game in every five. They will finish above us, but 7th looks nailed on so for Koeman it looks like, whilst his bank balance is healthier, he's just making a sideways step in terms of moving on to better things. To be honest, I'd be dissapointed even with a draw on Sunday against them. If we can't score a couple against Stek and a past it Jagielka then there has to be serious concerns.
