trousers Posted 16 June, 2017 Posted 16 June, 2017 The hoards of Everton fans throwing their toys out of the pram over this on Twitter is quite amusing.
simo Posted 16 June, 2017 Posted 16 June, 2017 Berty playing a big part in the campaign, fingers crossed eh !?
EBS1980 Posted 16 June, 2017 Posted 16 June, 2017 VVD featured afteral. Nobody else about so Berty had to model both kits lol
Raging Bull Posted 16 June, 2017 Posted 16 June, 2017 The hoards of Everton fans throwing their toys out of the pram over this on Twitter is quite amusing. Haven't been around much, why are they having a melt?
SuperSAINT Posted 16 June, 2017 Posted 16 June, 2017 ... Well at least 50% of them should be here when the season starts
pimpin4rizeal Posted 16 June, 2017 Posted 16 June, 2017 home kit is stunning! just wish they they also replicated the rank xerox blue away shirt as well
beatlesaint Posted 16 June, 2017 Posted 16 June, 2017 We were told VVD was involved in the photo shoot......anyone who slagged him off care to apologise to the guy who posted that fact ?
trousers Posted 16 June, 2017 Posted 16 June, 2017 Haven't been around much, why are they having a melt? Because we killed off Koeman in a cartoon
Convict Colony Posted 16 June, 2017 Posted 16 June, 2017 Safe bra (raised). I read that like I was dog the bounty hunter
Lighthouse Posted 16 June, 2017 Posted 16 June, 2017 We were told VVD was involved in the photo shoot......anyone who slagged him off care to apologise to the guy who posted that fact ? TBF so was Koeman and he left.
Raging Bull Posted 16 June, 2017 Posted 16 June, 2017 Because we killed off Koeman in a cartoon
Saint_Tony Posted 16 June, 2017 Posted 16 June, 2017 best home and away kits we've had in years Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
The9 Posted 16 June, 2017 Author Posted 16 June, 2017 Away does look to be navy not black, hopefully.
diggers Posted 16 June, 2017 Posted 16 June, 2017 Didn't take Historical Kits long did it? Amazing. http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Southampton/Southampton.htm
StDunko Posted 16 June, 2017 Posted 16 June, 2017 Best kits since the sash. Still not sure that I should be buying one at 39 years old, but tempted for the first time in ages!
SuperSAINT Posted 16 June, 2017 Posted 16 June, 2017 Away does look to be navy not black, hopefully. When does the next thread start?
sebastian firefly Posted 16 June, 2017 Posted 16 June, 2017 Double negative photo and this happens... Id prefer that

SO16_Saint Posted 16 June, 2017 Posted 16 June, 2017 http://store.saintsfc.co.uk/Product/ProductList/22700 The home shirt is a piece of art
saint lard Posted 16 June, 2017 Posted 16 June, 2017 That home kit will outsell any other kit we've had for years. The away is ruddy nice too. At last the club listened to the fans. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Jimmy_D Posted 16 June, 2017 Posted 16 June, 2017 That home kit is just really really nice. Nicely steps around having to have the plain back panel on a striped shirt too.
Saint86 Posted 16 June, 2017 Posted 16 June, 2017 So when are they going to give us a nice clear picture?! Most of the players are leaving, so we don't have any kit photos....
TwoPints Posted 16 June, 2017 Posted 16 June, 2017 I hope they make them to fit the slightly chubbier of us fans.
TwoPints Posted 16 June, 2017 Posted 16 June, 2017 I quite liked it. The Pompey name plate was a touch of class. I missed the Pompey name plate ... had to go back and watch it again.
Saint86 Posted 16 June, 2017 Posted 16 June, 2017 ... The home shots look photoshopped. So i deduce that Yoshi is staying?
Bad Wolf Posted 16 June, 2017 Posted 16 June, 2017 That away kit is bloody lovely!!! Not mad on the home kit but that's just because I prefer us in stripes. It'll grow on me I'm sure.
The9 Posted 16 June, 2017 Author Posted 16 June, 2017 (edited) Think I'm going to have to concede that it's black and teal and not dark navy and light blue in any light. Still, home kit is excellent and will sell a shed load, including to me on launch day. If I have a criticism it's that they left off the white side panels which take it from being red with a broad white stripe to being arguably "striped". Away kit is still just weird to me. Will pick it up from SportsDirect when they reduce it and get the rest of it in April. No idea what the "negative" kit is meant to show, the reverse of the home kit isn't the same colour as the home kit or even the same way around as the classic away, and the colours of the away aren't really the same as the colours of the home either. I guess it sort of works as a concept, ish, or would have if they'd chosen the same patterns for home and away. But then change kits are supposed to not mix with your opponents, not diametrically oppose themselves. Edited 16 June, 2017 by The9
BlakeySFC Posted 16 June, 2017 Posted 16 June, 2017 Still no blue shorts on the home kit? Disappointed, can't wait for us to go back to our traditional short colour.
The9 Posted 16 June, 2017 Author Posted 16 June, 2017 I hope they make them to fit the slightly chubbier of us fans. The replicas are not the same fit (or even the same material) as the matchworns.
The9 Posted 16 June, 2017 Author Posted 16 June, 2017 Still no blue shorts on the home kit? Disappointed, can't wait for us to go back to our traditional short colour. No point doing it this season when we're retroing a kit which had black shorts. Doubt we'll do it next year when we probably go back to traditional stripes, so I think 2019/20 is your first chance.
The9 Posted 16 June, 2017 Author Posted 16 June, 2017 Preorders brought forward 2 hours for those who really can't wait, lots of images on the OS now, shirt is £50, there are women's fits in both home and away this year. Preorders come with a cartoon poster and free P&P in the UK. Suspect the club will be holding back on squad numbers again and costing themselves revenue as everyone who has ever considered shirt numbers will want the new ones but won't want to get burned with player sales. No idea if the fit is the same as last season but you'd hope so. I still think it's a pointless risk not to try it on before buying though.
vindaloo Posted 16 June, 2017 Posted 16 June, 2017 Anyone heard if they are doing infant sizes? There isn't any on the online store at the moment. Won't be able to order myself one and not my son
bpsaint Posted 16 June, 2017 Posted 16 June, 2017 Home kit is top class, my only complaint is the collar, would have preferred it was black, or was a proper collar like the Keegan shirt. Those away collars in the same design would have been nice too, any chance some He could do a mock up of that?
nta786 Posted 16 June, 2017 Posted 16 June, 2017 I really like both kits but cannot for the life of me justify paying £100 for two pieces of clothing. Will wait until May then tbh when kit is £15!!!
Gingeletiss Posted 16 June, 2017 Posted 16 June, 2017 Loving both of these kits, and will buy them. Well done Saints.
Pugwash Posted 16 June, 2017 Posted 16 June, 2017 Love all the bites on Twitter. Like or loath the videos, they've wound up a few scousers and skates beautifully.
CylonKing Posted 17 June, 2017 Posted 17 June, 2017 Have been following this kit launch despite being in Argentina currently and enduring a 20 hour bus journey. Have to say, think these are the best 2 kits we've had in many, many years. Like many, cannot justify the spend (have only just bought last seasons kit at £15 while away) so will wait for reductions. Kudos yet again to the Saints Marketing team that have turned a boring kit launch into something much more fun, inventive and clever, showing a sense of humour missing in many places. This is one area that we have excelled - I still chuckle at 'Sorry mate, thought you were Phil Tuffnell' - absolute genius. If only we had award winning pies and a radio station! ;-)
The Farmer Posted 17 June, 2017 Posted 17 June, 2017 Home kit collar is all sorts of wrong. Should have been a black V neck.
STEVEADAMS Posted 17 June, 2017 Posted 17 June, 2017 Under armour doing a great job. Loved the last kit and this one is great. They fit well and quality is awesome. Well done.
