Sad news this night of the death of Canadian singer, songwriter, poet, Leonard Cohen. Cohen continued working right to the end. He was 82.

 

 

Leonard Cohen created the mood for my finest seduction. Eternally grateful to him.

A truly great, and humble, artist. Superb career as both poet and songwriter (he also wrote two novels).

 

He spent much of the 60s on Hydra, in Greece. Probably why I first visited Greece in 1973.

The man was a genius, a one-off, an original - his style was his own and his later songs were as fresh and original as his early ones. He had lived and loved and had a gift for conveying his experiences in to words that resonated with so many.

 

So glad I got to see him at the O2 a couple of years ago, it was a privilege to watch.

 

RIP Leonard Cohen...thank you

I have few regrets in life, but not hearing him live is one of them. Immense talent and a sad loss.
