According to the mail, Red Bull are in London scouting down an English club to buy.

 

We've played Leipzig and Salzburg in friendlies over the past year. Coincidence ??

 

Could the Chinese story be all about flushing them out ??

how would we feel as fans if they did this, and in a hypothetical world without the FFP crap, they changed our name to Red Bull Saints, turn our home kit into the Red Bull colours along with a change in logo to make it similar to other Red Bull clubs, BUT our next 10 years we competed for titles etc like City are!

Buying a PL team would Not really follow the pattern they have done before...they are more likely to purchase a lower league club and invest in young hungry players to take them up the league than buy an established PL team and invest in huge signings.

The FA won't allow Hull Tigers, so they certainly won't allow Red Bull Saints!

And be like leipzeg in Germany, the most hated team in Germany although they are 2nd only to bayern, there game plan is to buy all young talent hence the bizarre oliver Burke signing for 15m

But hasnt that been what Bayern have been doing over the years ? Ask Borussia Dortmund fans. Bayern loot them more often than Liverpool loot us.

 

Leipzig are only hated because they have disrupted the percieved natural order of German football. I could live with that sort of hate of our club if we threatened the big 6 in England.

We are competitive. Not competitive would be Sunderland or Swansea.

 

What you are referring to is chucking a load more money at the team in the hope we can do what Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool failed to do last year.

In a way but it's more to do with the financial backing that is barely legal and several loopholes to get where they are, plus the name/kit/crest changing. The same happened to Salzburg who were also hated and transferred their best players to leipzeg, all above board, cough cough

they changed SSV Markranstadt to RB Leipzig. Albeit RB stands for RasenBallsport for the same reasons as the FA: not wanting Red Bull.

 

They bought SSV when they were in the 5th division, so buying saints isn't likely - so no RB SouthamptonFC Amy time soon

Nah, we constantly see what an honourable, traditional club they are down there, the fans would never accept it...well not unless they renamed it "Blue Bull" that is.

The kit change wouldn't bother me as our kit sucks, but the name and logo change definitely would.

Some great quotes around from the Swindon chairman about it not being a demotion for their current coach.

Good to see he's hit the reverse rocket to nowhere... I'm sure he'll provide great insight and planning thanks to his extensive experience of successfully letting the players do what they want at Spurs and Villa, and his negligible knowledge of playing at that level.

What they do with / in Leipzig is pretty horrifying, but their success so far silence the critics, as all the media jumping on the RB Leipzig bandwagon, hammering all those daring to critizise their doings in Leipzig.

Interesting that Salzburg "officially" have been downgraded to a feeder club, claiming winning titles is not important, but developing players for Leipzig. Salzburg's manager already threatens to quit on this.

Basically, Red Bull transfers players to themselves and gets away with it.

System seem to like being beaten here.

 

Missing the times in lower Eastern German leagues when Leipzig players had to jump their coach in full gear after the final whistle, as they got chased by opposing supporters.
