badgerx16 Posted 27 September, 2017 Posted 27 September, 2017 They have put on 59 for their last wicket. Don't think the weather can save us, and our batsmen certainly wont.
lickierambert Posted 27 September, 2017 Posted 27 September, 2017 20-1 at tea. I'll go with 128 all out
SKD Posted 28 September, 2017 Posted 28 September, 2017 Minimum of 30 odd overs left with 6 wickets in hand (needing 145 for the win) We're taking it to the wire - I just hope we start this session better than the last!!
Window Cleaner Posted 28 September, 2017 Posted 28 September, 2017 Holding up but some bad light would be excessively handy.
Snopper Posted 28 September, 2017 Posted 28 September, 2017 Almost as stressful as watching the Saints
John B Posted 28 September, 2017 Posted 28 September, 2017 Fancy getting relegated twice in two years The whole cricket side needs to be revamped with Giles White out
Window Cleaner Posted 28 September, 2017 Posted 28 September, 2017 What a lot of nervous nellies you all are . We're creeping onwards, mind you must have been hard for Vince to last all those overs for 30.
Stu Man Do Posted 28 September, 2017 Posted 28 September, 2017 185-7 about 12 balls left they couldn't could they?! :-s
Window Cleaner Posted 28 September, 2017 Posted 28 September, 2017 185-7 about 12 balls left they couldn't could they?! :-s Berg obviously felt Abbott should do his share. Holland has been a real pillar here, should get his cap for what he's done today if he doesn't already have it.
Window Cleaner Posted 28 September, 2017 Posted 28 September, 2017 Yay, batted out the day. Middlesex down. Need 2 new openers for next season. Roussow at 3, Vince at 4.
badgerx16 Posted 28 September, 2017 Posted 28 September, 2017 Never in doubt..... once we got to 2 balls to go.
wadesmith Posted 28 September, 2017 Posted 28 September, 2017 First day wash out. Simplified task, just 8 points required. Rack up a few bonus points, here comes the rain, Draw, thank you. Simples. Absolutely called this spot on. Well done me. I've got this weeks lottery numbers if you need them.
stevegrant Posted 28 September, 2017 Posted 28 September, 2017 Got away with it two years running. If that's not a big wake-up call to those in charge down there, then nothing will be. As mentioned above, they've been great servants for many years, but it's time Adams and Ervine were taken out of the equation. That's two spaces for starters, anybody decent in the second division who we could tap up - someone like Duckett or Bell-Drummond, perhaps?

That's two spaces for starters, anybody decent in the second division who we could tap up - someone like Duckett or Bell-Drummond, perhaps? Don't know that we've got away with much this season apart from the September blip, we've been quite well placed all season apart from these last 2 games. Obviously our lack of 2 serious openers for these games (and the wash-out at Uxbridge) has been detrimental to us. When you're always 2 down after a couple of overs and your 3 and 4 are facing charged up seamers with a new ball you're in trouble. Adams has been pretty useless of late , Weatherly didn't really do much and Alsop isn't an opening bat.
lickierambert Posted 28 September, 2017 Posted 28 September, 2017 We HAVE to address the weaknesses at the top of the order for next year. Apart from that, we're a pretty decent side Carberry and Smith going does at least free some money up
Dusic Posted 28 September, 2017 Posted 28 September, 2017 Great work today. Now sack the two Whites and sign a couple of decent top order batters.
