Si the Saint Posted 20 October, 2016 Posted 20 October, 2016 Just wanted to say a massive thanks to the fans who came to help my dad tonight who collapsed at the San siro. My brother has said there was a saints fan who was a paramedic who helped so wanted to track him down to thank him personally. Thankfully Dad is stable but won't know much for 48 hours!
OttawaSaint Posted 20 October, 2016 Posted 20 October, 2016 Wishing your Dad a speedy recovery. Well done to SaintParamedic!

If he's still in Milan DM me if you need any help with translation / local expertise etc, I'm not in the same time zone right now but can put you in touch with English speakers etc if need be. In my experience the Italian NHS is a fantastic health service, so I'm sure they'll do everything to help you and yours anyway with regards to all that, but on the off chance - feel free to reach out. Yorkshire Saint Posted 21 October, 2016 Posted 21 October, 2016 Thank you for posting this and best wishes. It put the day in to perspective and I had feared the worst.
maxi_sopez Posted 21 October, 2016 Posted 21 October, 2016 Thank god for that. As others have said put the day into perspective when we got to the concourse and saw that. Well done to the saints fans and Italian medical team who seemed to get there fast and clearly did a great job
Toomer Posted 21 October, 2016 Posted 21 October, 2016 I had a heart attack nine years ago and was home alone when it happened bloody scary, hope your dad makes a speedy recovery.

richie Posted 24 October, 2016 Posted 24 October, 2016 Hey- any update on your dad? How is it going ? Heard the lad on 606 on Saturday evening. sounds like Dad is doing much better and out of the woods. Was a close call by all accounts.
Saint Lindford Posted 24 October, 2016 Posted 24 October, 2016 Wishing your Dad a speedy and full recovery. When we arrived at the top of the steps on the concourse we were all told there was a medical emergency, as others have said puts the day into prospective.
Si the Saint Posted 25 October, 2016 Author Posted 25 October, 2016 Hi all. Yes was a close call but dad is recovering well and is much better. Fingers crossed but should make a full recovery. Doctors are hopefully he might be allowed to fly back to a U.K. Hospital at the end of next week. Thanks for everyone's messages of support. Means a lot.

The9 Posted 25 October, 2016 Posted 25 October, 2016 Great news that he's ok - was a very worrying sight to see the blood on the concrete, especially with how packed the concourse was. Glad people managed to get through to him in time - there were a few directing traffic outside the loos and making sure the paramedics could get through as well.
dronskisaint Posted 25 October, 2016 Posted 25 October, 2016 Good news - nice to see how all rallied around on the night and the interest shown afterwards...hope the recovery is quick and complete!
ladysaint Posted 26 October, 2016 Posted 26 October, 2016 Excellent news and thank you for keeping us informed of his progress.
Secret Site Agent Posted 26 October, 2016 Posted 26 October, 2016 EXCELLENT!!!!So glad to hear. Tell him that OWTS sounds too quiet without him and we need him back.
Colinjb Posted 26 October, 2016 Posted 26 October, 2016 All the best to your Dad Si. Horrible thing to have to cope with, glad you have both come through it.
meatball Posted 26 October, 2016 Posted 26 October, 2016 Her name was Dani. I was sat with someone she works with in a pub in romsey. Hope your dad is ok. I know Danielle very well, she lives with my best mate and I spotted a post she put on facebook about the incident. If you'd like me to pass on a message to her I'd be very happy to (in case you don't have her contact details) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
