Tuesday night in Hartlepool

Remember this night - one of my favourite as a Saints fan probably for all the wrong reasons... wee Gordon strachan walking past me, the amazing atmosphere, the goal at our end and everything great about what was English football, I was there!

Tonight I arrive at Düsseldorf airport en route to Milan, one of three grounds on my bucket list including Barcelonas and the round one in Brazil. I never dreamt I would do one with Saints.

 

An emotional message but has anyone else any bucket wishes like this ?

I agree with the sentiments: I was there too. But the "goal at our end" is confusing. We drew 0-0. In the fog. And freezing drizzle.

You're right, but the 0-0 was a rearranged game on a Tues night. Had forgotten the other one was midweek too.

Ok I was there both times and just arrived in Milan - the perfect hatrick

The first season we won 3-1 having been a goal down. The following season when we won promotion was the 0-0 draw

Played in a hurricane. Goal kicks from our end were being blown back to the keeper. Lallana got 2 and Rickie tackled their keeper after a back pass for the other.
