jawillwill Posted 30 September, 2016 Author Posted 30 September, 2016 http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/09/30/exclusive-harry-redknapp-reveals-how-his-players-illicitly-gambl/ Alledgedly knew his players were gambling on their own games. Clearly not while at Saints though given they apparently had nothing to play for at the end of a season.
Plastic Posted 30 September, 2016 Posted 30 September, 2016 (edited) Pretty weak revelation imho. May be against the rules, but all betting on yourself shows is that you will be trying your hardest to win. Betting against your team would be more of an issue! Shame they didn't have anything more interesting on him. Edited 30 September, 2016 by Plastic
S-Clarke Posted 30 September, 2016 Posted 30 September, 2016 The telegraph scoops are pretty underwhelming tbh.
Pamplemousse Posted 30 September, 2016 Posted 30 September, 2016 Please please please let this be when he was at Portsmouth.
dronskisaint Posted 30 September, 2016 Posted 30 September, 2016 'Arry is so tainted that a mild bit of betting cheating probably enhances his reputation.
CB Fry Posted 30 September, 2016 Posted 30 September, 2016 The telegraph scoops are pretty underwhelming tbh. That's all you can get out of Harry bloody Redknapp? Their undercover dept is nothing short of a joke.
Appy Posted 30 September, 2016 Posted 30 September, 2016 Finally explains Calum Davenport's performances.
TwoPints Posted 30 September, 2016 Posted 30 September, 2016 Nothing to this story really. I've been a bit sceptical since the Jimmy Floyd story negotiating a speaking engagement in the Far East. All look heavily edited and not releasing the full footage makes me think the stories might be somewhat exaggerated. Sent from my SM-T810 using Tapatalk
adrian lord Posted 30 September, 2016 Posted 30 September, 2016 Telegraph has gone down the plughole last 3 years. Only people they have proved to be dishonest this week is their own journalists who lied about who they were to the sting targets.
Hatch Posted 30 September, 2016 Posted 30 September, 2016 really disappointing story, I wanted more than that.
jasonb Posted 30 September, 2016 Posted 30 September, 2016 really disappointing story, I wanted more than that. What goes around comes around. I'm still content to play the the long game. Your time will come Harry.
Lord Duckhunter Posted 30 September, 2016 Posted 30 September, 2016 What goes around comes around. I'm still content to play the the long game. Your time will come Harry. It won't . Neither the FA or the authorities will ever have enough evidence to do him . However , even the dogs in the street know he's bent
shurlock Posted 1 October, 2016 Posted 1 October, 2016 (edited) Kind of myth-making nonstory that only reinforces 'arry's reputation as a cheeky-chappy, lovable rogue. In a few years time (if not sooner), the c**t will be dining on this triffic tale at after-dinner speaking gigs and on the sofas of the sky sports studios. #moveoverdicanio Edited 1 October, 2016 by shurlock
Dark Munster Posted 1 October, 2016 Posted 1 October, 2016 However , even the dogs in the street know he's bent Rosie's friends?
hutch Posted 1 October, 2016 Posted 1 October, 2016 It's all becoming a bit of a farce now, isn't it? Doing the cause of getting rid of corruption more harm than good.
doddisalegend Posted 1 October, 2016 Posted 1 October, 2016 This Telegraph corruption expose is becoming weaker by the day. Big Sam and some lower league bloke (whose name I can't even remember) was as good as it gets and even then Sam came across more stupid than corrupt. Hardly Jack Warner levels of corruption going on is there? I have no doubt that there are some dodgy bastards in English football (mostly agents if I was to hazard a guess) but catching them is probably going to be much harder now thanks to the Telegraph.
doddisalegend Posted 1 October, 2016 Posted 1 October, 2016 No surprise he seems a trustworthy sort (not)... Football corruption scandal: Premier League manager bribes claim a lie - agent http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37524416
Jonnyboy Posted 1 October, 2016 Posted 1 October, 2016 Never too late to re-open the investigation into tax dodging.
Charlie Wayman Posted 1 October, 2016 Posted 1 October, 2016 Of course Harry will be in this story somewhere, where would the press be without him? Any quote from Harry gains headlines so when planning this 'sting' the DT will have made a list of people whose names would guarantee a few hundred papers will be sold and no prizes for guessing who would top the list... "What's he been up to this time?", "Thought old 'Arry would be involved somewhere..." If the DT know anything which in itself is very doubtful it will be their audience for such trash. Let's face it love him or loathe him Harry is always good for a quote and without the arrogance, swagger and self conceit of people like Pearson and Allardyce.
angelman Posted 1 October, 2016 Posted 1 October, 2016 Didn't it come out in his court case that Arry took a cut of the profits on transfers?
TwoPints Posted 1 October, 2016 Posted 1 October, 2016 I thought 'Arry had previously told the story about finding out afterwards that his players had bet on a game. Might be wrong though. Sent from my SM-T810 using Tapatalk
sadoldgit Posted 1 October, 2016 Posted 1 October, 2016 Beginning to wonder whether Arry had a few bob on us going down?
St Chalet Posted 1 October, 2016 Posted 1 October, 2016 I wonder if he'll deny he has ever been involved in spread betting on a match.
pluto Posted 1 October, 2016 Posted 1 October, 2016 Redknapp has made total mugs of the telegraph for them running with this total non story. Its given him the total upper hand and dilutes constant claims that hes taken bungs. No proof in that he has and that includes being investigated financially by plod. Massive screw up by the tele and i presume they have other evidence which cant be shown unless its in court.
simo Posted 1 October, 2016 Posted 1 October, 2016 Didn't stop him appearing on Bt sports goal show today
Lord Duckhunter Posted 1 October, 2016 Posted 1 October, 2016 I'm out with a member of the gutter press tonight , so I'll try and get some gossip out of him . He hates Saggy so the subject will come up
hughieslastminutegoal Posted 2 October, 2016 Posted 2 October, 2016 Never too late to re-open the investigation into tax dodging. What would be the point? Over 100 grand from his employer into a Monaco bank account in the name of his dog...... and he STILL got off. FFS, the **** seems untouchable.
THINWHITEDUKE Posted 16 September, 2017 Posted 16 September, 2017 Just parted company with Brum after 3-1 home defeat by PNE
beatlesaint Posted 16 September, 2017 Posted 16 September, 2017 Just parted company with Brum after 3-1 home defeat by PNE not the knee again was it ? Or the fact he's a clueless old **** and they have seen through him ? Good riddance whichever way
angelman Posted 16 September, 2017 Posted 16 September, 2017 LOL. No doubt Jim White will be sucking him off on Monday.
alehouseboys Posted 16 September, 2017 Posted 16 September, 2017 Another one to be airbrushed from the history books regarding Henry James 'Harry' Redknapp. ****.
Ade Posted 16 September, 2017 Posted 16 September, 2017 Biggest fraud in football....15 players signed under him....did I use the word fraud?
CB Fry Posted 16 September, 2017 Posted 16 September, 2017 Didn't a Birmingham fan get a tattoo of Twitchy's face on his leg about a week ago?
CB Fry Posted 16 September, 2017 Posted 16 September, 2017 Yes. http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/watch-birmingham-city-fan-gets-13594520
Wade Garrett Posted 16 September, 2017 Posted 16 September, 2017 Didn't a Birmingham fan get a tattoo of Twitchy's face on his leg about a week ago? No problem, put some floppy ears on it and it could be Deputy Dawg.
Bad Wolf Posted 16 September, 2017 Posted 16 September, 2017 Utter classless **** Another club that bellend has ruined.
shurlock Posted 16 September, 2017 Posted 16 September, 2017 (edited) No problem, put some floppy ears on it and it could be Deputy Dawg. Edited 16 September, 2017 by shurlock
beatlesaint Posted 16 September, 2017 Posted 16 September, 2017 What next, Havant and Waterloooovile? Poole Town......t'riffic club, just down the road.....
S-Clarke Posted 16 September, 2017 Posted 16 September, 2017 As per usual, he's left them with a load of overpaid dross. One good thing out of this though, our own Sam will actually get properly coached now.
9-3 Posted 16 September, 2017 Posted 16 September, 2017 Bring back home Sam Gallagher asap. We need another forward especially as Charlie was injured today. This could be his time.
S-Clarke Posted 16 September, 2017 Posted 16 September, 2017 Bring back home Sam Gallagher asap. We need another forward especially as Charlie was injured today. This could be his time. No recall. It's a season long loan, of which Birmingham paid a fee to acquire him for the season. May be able to break that in January, but not sure.
dronskisaint Posted 16 September, 2017 Posted 16 September, 2017 I'm happier for Sam to stay now he can't be polluted by that sleazy, crooked clunt I'm even happier he's been, once again, exposed as a useless twunt :-)
beatlesaint Posted 16 September, 2017 Posted 16 September, 2017 I think what really did for old saggy chops was when Cotterill turned down the assistant managers job there back in the summer.
goneawol Posted 16 September, 2017 Posted 16 September, 2017 Richard Jolly @RichJolly · 1h Harry Redknapp at Birmingham: nearly five times as many signings as league wins (14-3). More signings than points (14-10).
