Wurzel Posted 29 September, 2016 Posted 29 September, 2016 Unfortunately, being a sad plastic fan nowadays I'll be traveling no further than my own living room for the away EL ties. But at least I can try and join in with the fun by eating/drinking local away style food and (alcoholic) drink whilst watching the game. Milan and Prague leave no end of possibilities for the latter, but what should I be buying down the Offy for tonight's game?
Colinjb Posted 29 September, 2016 Posted 29 September, 2016 (edited) See if you can find anything from here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beer_in_Israel Be sure also to get some Falafel and Hummus. Edited 29 September, 2016 by Colinjb
Turkish Posted 29 September, 2016 Posted 29 September, 2016 Cook yourself some latkes, stick a skull cap on and menorah in your window. Also just have a cup of red wine as anyone who drinks in excess is a dangerous person according to the Torah.
Wurzel Posted 29 September, 2016 Author Posted 29 September, 2016 Hummus, yuk!. Latkes sound quite tasty and easy to make. Cup of red wine I could manage if I can't find the right beers, have to be a big cup though. Menorah is definitely out, Mrs Wurzel has just had new net curtains, 7 naked flames is just asking for trouble.

suewhistle Posted 29 September, 2016 Posted 29 September, 2016 I've had Israeli wine before. I think it was Kosher. The other day I had a wine (from Lidl, I think) from Lebanon, which isn't too far away..
Essruu Posted 29 September, 2016 Posted 29 September, 2016 The other day I had a wine (from Lidl, I think) from Lebanon, which isn't too far away.. That's like someone wanting to eat traditional Norwegian food and haggis being suggested because Scotland isn't too far away [emoji849]
suewhistle Posted 29 September, 2016 Posted 29 September, 2016 British Isles, Middle East, you've just got to expand your horizons a bit. Anyone for laver bread?
OldNick Posted 29 September, 2016 Posted 29 September, 2016 Have some of the stuff my misses plates up, a bloody mystery most of the time. It could be any combination of the above:lol::lol:
