Stud mark of doom Posted 22 September, 2016 Share Posted 22 September, 2016 Anyone else having trouble using this over the last few days? Basically I can't access any videos any more. This is what I got when I contacted their customer service - sounds like no access for a while until it is sorted. No idea why they didn't get the new version sorted before turning the old version off! The reason for the current lack of content and that you are unable to renew your subscription is due to Southampton launching a new media product away from EFL Digital and Player HD. Saints Player HD past and present subscribers as well as all Southampton fans will soon be updated on where they can soon listen to live audio commentary, video highlights and other exclusive video content in due course. Have the same issue and got same reply from saints Player people. I then sent it to Saints FC customer relations, asking: Hi As a Saints season ticket holder living in Essex and unable to get to the Palace game last night, I decided to renew my Saints Player sub to listen to the Radio Solent commentary but when I logged in and then pressed the “Be Part of the Action” thing I got a message saying that news subscriptions are not available. I contacted the Saints Player people and got the following reply: Thanks for your email. The SaintsPlayer you subscribed to annually in previous seasons is being replaced by an in-house service, which will be free of charge. Sounds like a bit of a b*lls up to me. Good it's going to be free but I think they should at least take down the non-working link and explain what is happening. It was useful for when we were in the Championship and I was at uni so I could listen to the games but the club use YouTube more nowadays anyway. And they had the nerve to announce HD highlights as part of a new and improved service a few years back, when you could barely see what was going on.
