Bad Wolf Posted 21 September, 2016 Posted 21 September, 2016 Thought his general play was class tonight. I can't comment on Sunday because I only saw the highlights but taking tonight and last Thursday into account, he could be a real asset to our reason. I'm in admission, I was about to give up on him.
HKsaint Posted 22 September, 2016 Posted 22 September, 2016 Should England recall him, instead of Rashford
New Forest Steve Posted 22 September, 2016 Posted 22 September, 2016 Should England recall him, instead of Rashford Well lets not get carried away. He's scored 2 goals in open play and is good for an hour before he's kn*ckered. Not knocking him, he's just what we needed at the moment .... but for England ? instead of Rashford ? No way.
Shance Posted 22 September, 2016 Posted 22 September, 2016 Should England recall him, instead of Rashford
striker Posted 22 September, 2016 Posted 22 September, 2016 I think he was called up two years ago with QPR, but didn't get into a game.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 22 September, 2016 Posted 22 September, 2016 Should England recall him, instead of Rashford Instead of Rooney but not Rashford
Miltonaggro Posted 22 September, 2016 Posted 22 September, 2016 Instead of Rooney but not Rashford Good shout. Would take balls from Fatso and FA, so won't happen.

Saint Garrett Posted 22 September, 2016 Posted 22 September, 2016 Fair play to him, has been good the last week, although against 2 weak teams. Seems to be playing more centrally than the start of the season which suits him so much more.
eelpie Posted 22 September, 2016 Posted 22 September, 2016 Charlie is a big hit (and a big joker) in the changing room - taking over from SKD. Wind back 70 years, will we be singing 'Charlie is our darling' again. How does the song go?
HKsaint Posted 22 September, 2016 Posted 22 September, 2016 I expect Austin will not only our next Pelle, but our next Rickie Lambert
skintsaint Posted 23 September, 2016 Posted 23 September, 2016 Glad he is back amongst the goals, but jeez he missed some sitters in the last two games, although one was offside saving his embarrassment against Palarse. Saying that his goal from open play he took really well so hope he is just shaking off some rust...
Saintsteve7 Posted 23 September, 2016 Posted 23 September, 2016 There is no way a premier league club like us would let an overweight player anywhere near the bench let alone the starting line up! Charlie Austin has, and will always be a 'big' lad, but over weight he is not!
adrian lord Posted 23 September, 2016 Posted 23 September, 2016 ^ like I tell my missus, its all muscle.
John Boy Saint Posted 23 September, 2016 Posted 23 September, 2016 Still looks a bit heavy to me. Looking at the Palace players in yellow the other night compared to our lads in their flattering stripes, if Charlie looks like he is carrying a few extra pounds then the Palace players looked a right bunch of lardy tubsters..................... even more so when they were standing next to the ref!
striker Posted 23 September, 2016 Posted 23 September, 2016 As long as he keeps scoring goals, I'll buy him a one of those WHU bratwursts and a pint at halftime, just to keep the weight on.
