paulwantsapint Posted 21 September, 2016 Posted 21 September, 2016 With today's article in echo regarding Claus talking about his recovery from addiction which Saint has fallen the furthest? Was it Ulrich Van Gobble who went on run from Dutch police?
farawaysaint Posted 21 September, 2016 Posted 21 September, 2016 (edited) Nile Ranger is and will always be the answer to this question. Edited 21 September, 2016 by farawaysaint
percy windham Posted 21 September, 2016 Posted 21 September, 2016 Jordan Robertson killed an old man.
Gingeletiss Posted 21 September, 2016 Posted 21 September, 2016 Seem to remember an incident of alleged Rape in Sweden in 1982, involving two of our players. Both were well loved by the fans, I have not named them, and no charges were filed if memory serves.
SO16_Saint Posted 21 September, 2016 Posted 21 September, 2016 The DE being as useless as ever with their headline writing skills
Sheaf Saint Posted 21 September, 2016 Posted 21 September, 2016 Who was the player that was done for drink driving a couple of years ago?
david in sweden Posted 21 September, 2016 Posted 21 September, 2016 Who was the player that was done for drink driving a couple of years ago? was that Guly?....had to leave the keys of his Porsche with the Police .....and walk home afterwards. and wasn't James Beattie once convicted of being over the limit ....whilst sitting in a stationary vehicle ?
Pancake Posted 21 September, 2016 Posted 21 September, 2016 Who was the player that was done for drink driving a couple of years ago? Beattie and Fabrice Fernandez both I think.
VectisSaint Posted 21 September, 2016 Posted 21 September, 2016 Who the hell is Claude Lundekvam!? Who the hell is Nigel Ranger? :-D
Pamplemousse Posted 21 September, 2016 Posted 21 September, 2016 Kevin Keegan got a 6-month driving ban a few years ago
Hatch Posted 21 September, 2016 Posted 21 September, 2016 Plenty signed for Pompey. Can't get lower than that.
alpine_saint Posted 21 September, 2016 Posted 21 September, 2016 Callum Davenport, though would rather not think of him as a Saints player at all
farawaysaint Posted 21 September, 2016 Posted 21 September, 2016 Who the hell is Nigel Ranger? :-D Oh shhh, he never played a first team game. Amended with thanks
Pass the Dutchie Posted 21 September, 2016 Posted 21 September, 2016 Was it Ulrich Van Gobble who went on run from Dutch police? In 2006 a financially troubled Van Gobbel was suspected of embezzling lease cars. He fled, which led to a 'wanted' ad in a newspaper, to get him to a court session. Eventually he was sentenced to 4 months in prison, which he didn't serve. He did 120 hours of community service instead.
ericofarabia Posted 21 September, 2016 Posted 21 September, 2016 Who the hell is Claude Lundekvam!? [/quote) Our new French Centre Half?
SonicBoom Posted 21 September, 2016 Posted 21 September, 2016 And of course don't forget the honourable Nathan Dyer - stealing from handbags in a night club wasn't it?
ericofarabia Posted 21 September, 2016 Posted 21 September, 2016 was that Guly?....had to leave the keys of his Porsche with the Police .....and walk home afterwards. and wasn't James Beattie once convicted of being over the limit ....whilst sitting in a stationary vehicle ? Fair do's to him though. Through his Community Hours Fine didn't he start up a charity and continued doing charitable work long after his Community Service had been completed? Also didn't he slap a mouthy skate in a restuarant in Manchester whilst at Everton on England duty? This of course was an admirable and understandable act, so in no way a bad thing to do
Gunnery Posted 21 September, 2016 Posted 21 September, 2016 Nathan Redmond surely deserves a mention for that miss on Sunday!!
eelpie Posted 21 September, 2016 Posted 21 September, 2016 And of course don't forget the honourable Nathan Dyer - stealing from handbags in a night club wasn't it? Honourable's are heroes in this case.

The Cat Posted 21 September, 2016 Posted 21 September, 2016 Jordan Robertson got locked up after he left. Only managed 10 games on loan for us, his single goal was an absolute screamer against Norwich.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 21 September, 2016 Posted 21 September, 2016 Tadic and Austin argued over a penalty, made out by a few on here to be a terrible crime...
Heisenberg Posted 21 September, 2016 Posted 21 September, 2016 Who was the player that was done for drink driving a couple of years ago? GULY! Apparently made a habit of it..... Thankfully he was finally caught. A very very very average footballer who kicked round town like he was David Beckham - sadly more passion off the field than on it.
Gemmel Posted 21 September, 2016 Posted 21 September, 2016 I'm not sure Shilton had his finest moment in a Saints shirt (Tina or Shelia - can never remember), but the taunts were non stop Mark Wright and Steve Moran (I think) questioned on rape following a pre season game in the Nordics - No action taken

Ging gang was great mate, I mean it was the championship and league 1, he wasn't going to be a world beater.
New Forest Steve Posted 21 September, 2016 Posted 21 September, 2016 Ging gang was great mate, I mean it was the championship and league 1, he wasn't going to be a world beater. lol ... totally agree, not sure quite why but always had a soft spot for Guly despite his flaws. Remember how excited we all were on our first Brazilian 'superstar' signing
ozzmeister Posted 21 September, 2016 Posted 21 September, 2016 lol ... totally agree, not sure quite why but always had a soft spot for Guly despite his flaws. Remember how excited we all were on our first Brazilian 'superstar' signing Wasn't Pelle (the defensive midfielder one) Brazilian?
New Forest Steve Posted 21 September, 2016 Posted 21 September, 2016 Wasn't Pelle (the defensive midfielder one) Brazilian? Think he was Portuguese
VectisSaint Posted 21 September, 2016 Posted 21 September, 2016 Think he was Portuguese Pele (not Pelle) was Cape Verdean, though he was born in Portugal. Is it true he is currently playing for Totton? Tadanari Lee was banned for driving after he was caught speeding three times in three months (silly boy). http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2330250/Southampton-striker-Tadanari-Lee-banned-driving.html It may be that he was racing to get away from his biggest and bestest fan, Mongboard Chief Turkish.
Lighthouse Posted 21 September, 2016 Posted 21 September, 2016 Think he was Portuguese Cape Verde wasn't it? Decent defensive midfielder, poor CB.
Gemmel Posted 21 September, 2016 Posted 21 September, 2016 Cape Verde wasn't it? Decent defensive midfielder, poor CB. Indeed - Think Home game against Derby in playoffs
Saintsteve7 Posted 21 September, 2016 Posted 21 September, 2016 I think Pele is now a coach for Le Tissiers academy.
